Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The portable washer has generally been appreciated by users for its practicality, especially those living in apartments without in-unit laundry facilities. It displays effectiveness in cleaning clothes with vigorous agitation and features a spin-dry function, although it is not identical to a typical dryer. Despite some hurdles in setting it up and manual interaction needed for its operation, reviewers find it a worthwhile investment to eliminate trips to the laundromat.

Pros

  • 👍 High efficiency in cleaning clothes.
  • 👌 Compact size suitable for apartments or small spaces.
  • 🔄 Comes with a spin-dry function.
  • 🏠 Much more convenient than trips to the laundromat.

Cons

  • ❗ The inlet hose might require an alternative solution as it doesn't fit standard sinks.
  • 💼 More manual labor involved compared to standard washing machines.
  • 📏 Requires an extension cord due to a short in-built plug.
  • 😓 Spinner is small, so can only spin a few items at a time.

Should I Buy It?

If you are seeking a solution for laundry in a confined living space, or simply wish to avoid laundromats, then this portable washer is a good purchase. Despite its manual nature and a few drawbacks related to its hose and plug, the washing efficiency and convenience it brings make it a solid choice for those with specific laundry needs.

  • Works well so far, but must know its limits!
Color: Black & White
Came sooner than expected and was packaged well. I am disabled, but I was able to get it in, move it to its location and unbox/set up by myself. Had to take rest breaks but it was do able. Set up: I'm storing and using it inside my standard size bathtub/shower (when I need to use the bathtub, I left it out and onto a luggage cart on wheels and roll it into my kitchen area, then put it back when done, since I live in a very small one room studio apartment). Since it drains 100% by gravity, I ordered two non-slip foot stools and put them into the bathtub slightly apart from each other, then placed the washing machine on top of the foot stools (the space between the foot stools allow good air flow to the underside of the washing machine where the motors are located and keeps the bottom of the washing machine out of any drainage water flow), this raises the washing machine off the bottom surface of the bathtub and allows for full gravity drainage (I just let the drainage hose hang down into bathtub and use the tub drainage). The lint filter in the washing machine keeps the drainage water clean enough to not cause a problem with the tub drain clogging up (but you must keep the filter clean!). Even with the somewhat longer cord, I still needed to use a heavy duty extension cord with a surge protector for added safety. I did not hook up to water since I'm using it in my bathtub, I just fill it with the desired water temperature and level using my handheld shower head and it works great! (It doesn't have automatic water levels so you have to manually fill it either way by turning the water on and off.) How it works: I have found it works best using only a few items at a time (example/2 lightweight cotton blend long sleeve shirts and 1 lightweight cotton sleeveless nightgown per load) and full tub of water. Soak cycle, then normal wash cycle. It does intermittent agitation that is rather strong (sometimes strong enough to tie items into a knot... lol) and it does get clothes clean. Move to drain cycle manually when wash cycle is over and it drains quickly and completely (IF you have the hose lower than the bottom of the washer). You can choose how many wash cycles you want to do by refilling and resetting the timer. I found the spin side works best when I only spin one item at a time (unless it is socks or underwear) and spins very fast and gets most all of the water out! Leave the setting on "drain" when using the spin side for best results (you can add clean water when spinning to help with the rinse). I found it easier to do the rinse in the washer side. After spinning items, I rinse the washer out first, then move timer off drain and onto normal cycle. Put items into washer and refill with water. Set to normal wash cycle to do a full rinse, then move to "drain" setting. Last put each item through a short spin cycle! Clothes are done! Hang them up to finish drying. I have found it best to then clean the filter in the washer and with the drain setting on, I use my handheld shower head to rinse out both sides so that the washer and spin basket stay clean and fresh, ready for next use. It looks nice. Easy to set up and use. It is not very loud at all (I use it right next to a shared wall of my apartment and my neighbor said he doesn't even hear it, he said I make more noise taking a shower/bath then the washing machine.. lol). So overall (so far, it has only been a few months) it works better than I had expected! I am very satisfied and would recommend. I haven't had to contact Customer Service so I can't address that part. If anything changes or fails I will update, otherwise no new update is good news and all is well! ... show more

  • Great for the price, labor involved
Color: Blue & White
I loathe laundromats. So, I am temporarily living in a RV and there is no washer/dryer. This machine does require a lot of labor. The hose isn't designed to attach to most bathroom sinks. I was pouring buckets of water into it until another Amazon reviewer said she places her shower wand into the washer for filling. Genius. No more pouring buckets. If you overfill the washer, it will flood so I have mine in the RV shower. I watch it fill up and it takes about 5 minutes. The washer really agitates very vigorously and you can select the wash time. After washing, you have to manually turn a dial to drain all the water out. Then I completely ignore the instructions which say you should spin the load, fill it up with water all over again and then do a rinse cycle and spin everything again. I'm too lazy for that. Once the tub has drained, I pick up individual items and spray them very briefly with the shower wand. The drain is already open, so the rinse water just drains out into the shower. Now for the dryer portion. There is no dryer. There is something akin to a salad spinner. You can put only 2 or 3 things into the spinner at a time. Then you can select a spin time. It spins very fast and you can see the water draining out of the hose. So you may have to do 3 spin loads for a full wash load. Then you hang your items to dry. It is a lot of work. If I weren't able to sit on the toilet to do all of the spinning, filling and draining, I would find it too labor intensive KEY POINT: Don't forget to close the drain dial before your next washing load. I have sat there wondering why it takes so long to fill and , duh, the drain is open. This washer is good for 1 person, not a family. Despite the labor involved, it is still better than the laundromat. ... show more

  • Decent Washer for the price.
Color: Blue & White
I really like the convenience of this portable washer. The spin cycle is separate and smaller than the actual washer. It gets the clothes dry enough to the point it isn't dripping wet. You'll either need a dryer or to air dry to get them fully dry. Pros: The agitation is nice and gets the clothes clean. Minimal noise Easy to use, don't really need the manual. I just fill it with water and turn to the cycle of my choosing. Not that big so it doesn't take up much space. Can wash some heavy duty items. You use less laundry detergent Cons: water inlet connecter will need an adapter as it does not fit on anything. Smaller spin cycle causes the washes to be a tad bit longer It's manual, so you have to manually drain and manually put water in. Extension cord is short and so is the gravity drain pump. You have to find a way to finesse it so that the cord isn't clothes to any water and that it's propped up on something to make sure all the water will drain out of it. Can't wash big items like comforters There's no timer to tell you when it's done. All in all I still enjoy it, it saves money and gets clothes really clean. It works well if you live by yourself. For a family you might want to wash frequently throughout the week. As washing a weeks worth of clothes in this can take all day. This with a portable dryer pairs well too. ... show more
