After 3 1/2 years of heavy usage, my Dyson V8 was not doing very well. I thought I needed to buy a new one, but it turns out I just needed new filters and this vacuum replacement. It’s fantastic. Perfect fit for Dyson V8 Absolute stick vacuum. The original hardwood floor head stopped spinning—maybe the motor burned out. I use this soft replacement head on both wood floors and the area rugs and it does an excellent job. Much cheaper than getting a whole new vacuum! Easy to open up and clear hair, etc. And the light is an added bonus.

This has great fit on the Dyson V15. Roller bar runs smooth and lights are semi bright in dark situations. Here you're getting a value product that will get the job done without too many bells and whistles. The one con that I see is the swivel is a little stiff and is best for mostly straight line vacuuming. However due to the ridiculous price of original brand Dyson replacement heads these tradeoffs are good. We broke one head that lasted about a year. We don't baby it though so it could have been our fault.

So far, so good. The soft roller picks up debris on hardwood way better than the motorhead attachment (which still rules supreme for carpet), and the addition of the LED lights on the front is pretty useful. For the price (versus genuine Dyson parts), you can't go wrong. Even if it doesn't last long, I'll likely get my money's worth out of it.

Oh, my goodness! I like everything about this roller brush head replacement. Way above my expectations. The lights!! The white lights are bright and angled just right. It seems quieter than the original. The suction and pickup worked great on my vinyl. Overall I'm thrilled with my purchase.

The one star is for quality control. The roll didn't move at all and by the time I noticed it the housing had started to melt. Otherwise the overall design is better than the original Dyson part because it has a light in front. I hadn't realized how bad my husky mix dog hair problem was because the hair is light colored and is hard to see without illumination on the light colored hardwood floors. Even without the bar moving it seemed to pick hair up better than the Dyson part, which is strange.

I loved the maneuverability this offered and the light was very useful at night. I used it with my Dyson V8. I vacuum the floor about 2-4 times a week and it broke right at the year mark! I thought maybe the head got dirty or tangled up so I cleaned it up but nope it just stopped working randomly. The head doesn’t spin and the lights don’t turn on but my other vacuum heads work fine.

Powerful suction, works great on hardwood floors. I really love the bright LED lights on the front. If you vacuum your floors with your house lights off, you can see ALL THE DIRT.
