    • First Time Buyer But I Love It!

I’ve wanted a pair of leg warmers for my aerobics class so I bought the black with stirrups and they were fantastic! When scrunched, they come up knee height but fully stretched they’re about mid-thigh. For reference, I’m 5’7 with 13 inch calves and 18 inch thighs. There’s no elastic to keep them secure against the legs but perhaps this could be individually pinned/sewn in? The warmers are pretty much exactly what’s pictured: nice quality ribbed nylon either with or without a stirrup foothold depending on the type ordered. I also bought the teal and pink multicolored pair and two solid colored ones which were equally great in quality. They’re bright and hold their shape well with daily use though I haven’t tried washing them yet. So far, I’ve only experienced occasional sliding but I do wear these on bare legs so maybe they’d be more secure with pants/tights. They don’t fall if you’re just standing still but with prolonged, intense movement they might pool around mid calf. The stirrups fit inside most tennis shoes/sneakers without overstuffing your shoes and there’s plenty of room for socks to be worn underneath if needed which is great! Bottom line: I’m very very pleased with the quality and color selection available. They work great for exercise and keep your muscles nicely warmed up with a retro look. ... show more

I’m reviewing both the ”Hole71-white” and ”61rose - Without Hole” leg warmers. I am 163 cm or 5’4” and usually wear size S in clothing. As you can see they are different lengths (71 cm and 61 cm) but the former are stirrups so some of the length go to the foot. For me the 61 cm is a good length in a normal leg warmer and the 71 cm in a stirrup because they stretch to my mid-thigh. Then again, I would like to be more able to crunch them without losing too much length. I still have to think if I want to order a longer version of each because I really like a crunched leg warmer look. The colors are amazing, but they tend to fall down when walking. The thigh part is not so tight and secure unfortunately. Then again I really like the viscose material because the leg warmers are not too hot for exercicing, and also not itchy. Let me say that the coziest, best legwarmers I ever had were knit by my daughter from lovely wool yarn. I wore them through many winters till they finally fell apart. Legwarmers available now are usually a version of acrylic and/or cotton. Cotton is quite comfortable and adequate for cool summer evenings, but acrylic versions don’t come close to cozy wool . To make acrylic function as warmers, fit and fiber content are crucial. Keep in mind that you need an air layer involved as insulation. Too snug and they limit circulation…not warm. Too loose (allowing for the air layer) and they slide down…also not warm. I go for Goldilocks loose, but with top snug enough to stay above the knees without cutting off circulation, long enough for bottom to extend over my heels keeping ankles cozy, and kinda loose in between. I ordered these and one other style, seeking perfection. So far, these are OK, not great, based on the above criteria. (Will review the other style after I’ve tried them out.).
