Unfortunately, these aren't long enough to be thigh-high socks. They barely cover my knees, and they obviously don't stay there. They're glorified knee-highs. The material is about what I expected. They're just socks, no insulation or special warm material. So they're not going to save you during the winter, but maybe they're fine for fall or spring? My legs are pretty thicc (not plus size, but borderline), and I got them to stretch out well enough after washing them and stretching the elastic while they were wet. They're totally doable for thiccer folk, provided you realize that they still aren't long enough to reach your thighs. As knee high socks, 5 stars. No reason to complain. But since they're marketed as thigh highs, I have to beg to differ. 3 stars tops.
