If you're tall, you know how hard it is finding long enough socks, especially in the winter. I'm 5'10" so they're not thigh high on me, but these come about 5 inches over the knee which is still pretty great. They're also are not thin, pretty thick, soft, and don't seem to slide downs so far. Definitely plan to grab more colors. ... show more

Upfront, I quite enjoy these thigh high socks; after getting a single pair as a trial, I've since bought more. That said, while they are comfy enough on the legs, they aren't on the soles of the feet. They're decently warm, as long as it's not really windy. Also, they don't really stay up very well... if they're not held up by garters, the tops will slide down too often to make pulling them back up every time annoying. I don't know if its the shape of my thighs or what... I'm not huge (21" around) so maybe they'll stay up on you. (They do stay up over my calves, but my calves are quite shapely.) ... show more

These socks stay up relatively well and do reach above the knee and are truly thigh high. The thickness is warm enough without getting in the way of wearing regular shoes.
