  • Well worth the $20 for anyone with large ears or glasses.
Color: Black Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I purchased these at the same time when buying the V-MODA M-100's without even reading the reviews because I wear glasses and I have larger ears, knowing this, I liked what I read about the larger circumference as well as the deeper depth. I can say that it was a smart purchase. Just like everyone else that's reviewing this product, it really does give you that extra space inside the headset increasing comfort and like others said that wear glasses, this is almost a must. Sure you can say that they should have included the better cushions with the headset however some people don't like the thick feeling, and the thinner cushions aren't BAD, they just don't feel as good as the thicker ones, per my opinion. Below are some pictures comparing the size against the originals. But for $20, I feel it's well worth it. FYI, the grey pads are the ones that came with the headset and the black ones are the XL's. ... show more

  • A bit overpriced for what they are.
Color: Black Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
These are honestly a must for the headphones, which is why I rated it so low. The stock pads are just not ok, they're too shallow and will hurt your ears. These pads eliminate that pain, so they should be stock. Since they are not, for 20 bucks you get some comfortable pads that wear out quickly. I have to replace them at least once a year, because the material they use is some kind of cheap fake stuff that will quickly degrade over time. I think $10 is more reasonable. ... show more

  • Makes the M100s SO MUCH BETTER!
Color: Black Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Easily the best purchase I've made in 2018. I use my V-MODA M100 headphones all the time. I use them on my phone and on my computer. I'm always wearing them. I found that my head/ears would hurt because of the pressure from the stock headphone cushions. Looked online for reviews and found people saying that these are worth the investment. My God I wish I bought these sooner. They eliminated the issue I had with the M100. They are so comfortable. If I could offer one piece of advice to V-MODA, it would be this. Include how to install the cushions in the box it comes with. I had to look up a review on YouTube. It really wasn't difficult to install, but it was confusing of why this wouldn't be included in the box, or at the very least a QR code on the box leading to a quick instructional video on how to uninstall the stock cushions and install these. P.S. Do not watch the video on YouTube where the guy uses a screwdriver to uninstall the stock cushions. You just need to grip the inside of the cushion and the outer part and pull the tabs from the locked position. You don't want to risk breaking your headphones by using a screwdriver. ... show more

  • Edit: Better than the stocks but not super durable
Color: Black Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Edit: I stand by everything I said below, but I have to update this and mention that after only a few months of use the cushions have already gotten squished through normal use. I use these as gaming headphones and streaming headphones so I literally sit at my PC and don't do anything crazy with them and after just a couple months of use they're about half as thick as when I first bought them. Like I said, still better than the stock pads, but I don't have as much ear clearance anymore, thus different acoustics, and it's a tad disappointing. I'm looking into getting Wicked Cushions and seeing if those hold up better. Edit 2: Get the Wicked Cushions instead. The Wicked ones make my ears a little warmer but the cushioning is much better and firmer than these. I honestly can't imagine why anyone would want the defaults over these. And that's not meant to be an over the top compliment towards these. The defaults were uncomfortable think I docked a star off the headphones I got these XLs for. These are so comfortable I've had my cans in for 3 hours straight with no issues, but the defaults hurt my ears after less than an hour. ... show more

  • I bought the M100s and fell in love with the way they sounded
Color: Black Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
These are a complete must-have for the V-MODA M100 headphones. I bought the M100s and fell in love with the way they sounded, but they were uncomfortable and the ear pads were small. These are the perfect size, sound quality is the same as before. I highly recommend these for anyone that has the M100 headphones. I've attached photos of the original pads vs the new pads. ... show more

  • not "memory" foam
Color: Black Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This product has never ever seen "memory" foam......... It is bog standard white open cavity foam... nothing special.. certainly not for a price of $20USD There are other issues with both the Vmoda cushions & headphones..... since the fit to your skin is basically "air tight" (you might think it is good.. but it's not) 1. Any sweat or oil is trapped into the speaker diaphragm 2. since it is "airtight" there is not sufficient air "equalization" between inner & outer Speaker areas. This causes the plastic speaker diaphragm to be damaged with the air pressure collapsing & creasing the speaker dome.. after a while when the phones move about... you can hear the cone "clicking" with the vacuum or pressure waves damaging the speaker diaphragms later this speaker damage casuese a "buzzing" mechanical sound on bass notes... as the speaker dome is damaged and the coil winding rub against the internal speaker magnets.... This company seems to know very little about actually manufacturing headphones other than how to make them mechanically robust or "look" good. ... show more

  • These should be standard.
Color: Black Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Honestly, I don't know why these earcups don't just come standard with the headphones. I had been recommended theCrossfade wireless headphones not only because of their high-quality sound, but also because of the easy swap between wired at my PC and wireless on the go. So when I bought these to use for work (12+ hours a day) I was riding on the fact that they would be comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The standard earcups have very little cushion, and don't fit over my ears at all. I couldn't handle wearing the headset for more than an hour at the time without the top of my ear turning bright red, and becoming painful to the touch. I didn't want to return the headset because the sound quality is great, and the flexibility of use is a huge sell for me. Thankfully the XL earcups were exactly what I needed, and the low $20 cost was justified since I use these so much. TLDR if you buy a set of V-Moda headphones, these replacement ear cups are a requirement. ... show more
