It looks like these will work just fine for cutting off my dogs bandages to change them but beware that the tend to have a rather sharp point on the tip of the lower part that slips under the bandage. I had to smooth that leading edge with a file (and stainless steel takes a bit of work even with a file made for metal filling) to take the sharp little point off but otherwise it will poke and rip skin. I sue these for both cutting bandages on a dogs legs (she chews them from time to time and this avoid a cone of shame) and for cutting into taped up packages where I don't want to knick the surface of what's under the tape. They work very well and so far no accidents!

These are pretty good scissors for the price, if you're a casual user. Neither of the blades were finished well, and grinding burrs made the cutting action feel rough. After some careful attention with very fine sharpening stones I was able to get one pair to operate smoothly and cut well. The other pair is still a little rough even after sharpening and lubricating, but it does cut tape and bandages. If you have some patience and the right tools to complete the finish work on these they are pretty nice scissors. If you want them smooth and sharp out of the box you should consider shopping at a higher price point. ... show more
