These have the feel of a solidly made tool. This is the second set of these we bought the first set has been so helpful for so many things.Ounce you have a pair of these your gonna wounder how ya got by with out them.Just a few uses - to hold things together while soldering, gluing,or just fitting them , pick up small items,to be able to get small things out of those little compartments you find things in as those little parts finally get organised,they even help to sort through the things that are still unorganized,you know the drawers or jars that are the last resorts to try to find that last little doodad to Finnish the project .This pair is for in the house ,if we only use them to get the cotton out of those medicine bottles our fingers don't fit in with out spilling them this pair is well worth what they cost. ... show more

    • Retired doctor: these are great for garden work.
These are great for weeding mulched beds. If a weed is stubborn, I used the locking feature to get a good purchase on the weed, and if I have to, I use both hands to pull the plant out by the root. I also found out it is very useful for delicately picking blueberries without locking the forceps. I a twig of the plant is loaded with fruit, I break off the twig at the base with the locking feature, thus harvesting a bunch of berries at once. They can be used on weeds on bare earth, but it's harder to get the whole root. I have found several medical instruments useful for non=medical usage. I bought some long locking forceps for weeding my driveway, but they were awfully made, but these I recommend. ... show more

These are LARGE forceps, so if your intention is to use this for piercings it will not work on small areas like tragus and inner ear piercings. Easy to clean and fits in my autoclave perfectly. The locking mechanism is too tight to use on people so just put rubberbands around the tongs so it stays tight without hurting your client. ... show more

    • Great for feeding my snakes
Great for feeding rat pups to baby snakes. The looped ends protect the frozen thawed rat pups from getting damaged or ruptured like a normal forcep can do. Should bought ones like these decades ago.
