These curtains are definitely for the purple lover in your family. They are a bit brighter than what is shown in the Amazon posting but that is also me being picky I am a sucker for dark purple. They have a good weight to them and they are definitely blackout. I ordered the 84 in ones and they just barely touch the ground. They get the job done and if you were buying them today for the first time you may not mind. However, I bought two sets 3 years ago and just recently bought another of the exact same set/color. The new ones are more light weight, wrinkle more and you can see light through them. The older ones are thicker and much better quality. I paid more for one set of the new ones than two sets of the old ones. I'm not surprised by any of this but it's a shame. ... show more
