I almost cringe at myself using the word "luxurious" (as a title no less!) but this topper absolutely deserves such a description. Putting this on a queen size mattress was much easier than I anticipated. I expected the worst, but by simply using the cushioned top as a guide it was easy enough to not overshoot corners or sides. I am using this with the large blue stitching facing downward, which I debated myself about, and am very happy I did. The second I first laid on this...I cannot describe properly. My bed is nice and comfortable to begin with but my gosh, with this topper it is RIDICULOUSLY comfortable. This is where "luxurious" comes in as an actual description. No matter how I lay on this, it just feels right. I'm a very large guy with back issues, and if I lay out fully spread eagle, it feels great! If I curl up in a ball on my side it feels great! I have used this same mattress for over 20 years and have never disliked it, but now with this mattress pad on it feels like a huge imorovement. I will caution anyone reading, that this thing is real huge when it's fully done decompressing after shipping. I unpacked this, removing from the shipping box and plastic then threw it on my couch for about 6-7 hours. I figured that was enough to let it fully expand from the vacuum packing but I was wildly wrong! I put this in my washing machine (admittedly older model machine, upright with agitator) and after washing found that I had flooded my laundry room. It was a ton of water on the floor and a long, long time to clean up. When I removed the mattress pad from the machine, I found it had expanded so much that it was hard to remove. It had fully, completely filled the washer and expanded into the agitator and top crevices. DO NOT wash this at home before letting it fully decompress! All said, this is a truly perfect mattress pad. I feel like if it was laid flat on concrete you would still get a comfortable night sleep. Just be sure to let it breathe enough to expand fully for a few days before attempting to wash, and strongly consider washing at a laundromat.

I really like this mattress topper as an alternative to some memory foam toppers I have used. At the moment, I don’t need it for my own bed because my mattress is new, but my guest bed is way too firm. One of the features I really like is that this topper is machine washable. I can’t put my memory foam toppers in the washing machine. I like to be able to have fully fresh bedding for guests. Apart from this convenience, the topper is really well made and appears durable. It is soft in a uniquely spongey sort of way. It’s hard to describe, but I’ve had toppers with a down-like filling that feel kind of lumpy to me. This has a more uniform spongy feel which I like. Overall, I’m glad I got this topper because now my guests will be more comfortable and I will feel good about keeping the guest bed clean and refreshed.

I wanted something to give my body more support softness. I have had a ton of surgeries in my life. Mostly joint. So, I was looking for some comfort and something I can throw in the wash. Due to my pain, I am often in bed when I don't work. So, I naturally have snacks and drinks. And, I have spilled them. It is a lot hard to get it out of the mattress then it is your sheets, comforter, or topper. You can throw this right in the wash and it will keep your mattress nice. It will absorb more fluids depending on how much and fight it going to your mattress. It is soft and fits nicely. It has a skirt that tucks under your mattress and prevents it from shifting. I will say that the padding on the edges pop up sometimes. I would like to see a tighter skirt. But overall, very nice.
