It worked as a backup for Wifi when my computer was having issues. Worked for several weeks until an updated solved my computer issue. Startup was relatively easy, but I did have to install a driver. Speed was not quite as fast as my computer's Wifi, but my computer is only a few months old. Good value. I'd recommend for anyone who needs USB wifi. It cautions about heavy usage, so this is not for a lot of heavy use like streaming movies. I used it for email, browsing and some file transfers. ... show more

I bought this because my HP laptop was only 2.4 Gigahertz speed. I had just installed Starlink which is 6.0 gigahertz speed. So my laptop was slower. This USB WiFI 6 Adapter worked wonderfully. My Starlink is 100 Mbps. I checked my laptop's speed before I put the adapter in and it was a download speed of 59.57 and upload 13.91. After I put the adapter in, my download was 93.78 and upload 33.39. So yes, it really works. I would wholeheartedly recommend this product. ... show more

Worked fine for about a week, and now it just suddenly isn’t registering at all. Dmesg-w shows nothing is recognized at all when I plug it in to multiple usb ports, so I’m assuming it’s just fried somehow. Won’t be buying again. I bought this for an older desktop computer I put in my basement workshop. Once the adapter was plugged in, it asked for the Wi-Fi password, and it was off and running, just like any other connection. Couldn't be simpler and sure beats pulling a cable all the way to the router. Great value!
