This is a new product on Amazon and I thought for sure this thing isn't as great as the reviews say, but it punches well above its class. By that I mean this DAC is comparable in sound quality to other DACs I've heard in the $200 range. What you don't get here, though, is a remote, multiple inputs, a display or RCA outputs. What you do get is the benefit of mass manufacturing and a dead-simple plug that "just werks" with generic drivers and decent sound. Oh, and it's super-loud, too (for converting to RCA and sending off to a speaker amp). Although, on Linux I have had some issues passing this through to Virtual Machines. I seem to get some scratchiness and pops at 44.1khz sample rates. This doesn't happen in Linux running on the bare hardware, or Raspberry Pis. Not sure what's happening there. ... show more

Been using this a week with my Redragon PC speakers, and the adapter works great. It got the speakers out of my PC's 3.5 jack, and no loss of sound quality. It's currently plugged into my powered usb hub, and I'm very happy with the entire set-up.

This iteam was a great buy and have had no issuse at all but other then the cable is so little it gets lost easily i would keep it in a holder case for smeller cables so it will not get lost i lost the 1st one i payed for and have not found it again
