I do voice overs for work and am a video editor and also someone who regularly cleans up audio...for the PRICE....I don't know how you can even beat this it's insane. I've recommended it to everyone at work and other media departments on campus and they're just blown away. The sound is clean, it picks up at quite a distance, extremely good at muffling sound and...did I say CHEAP? Punches above its weight. On sale, it was a good buy Fall 2022. I've not used it yet but I recorded conversation voice on a Mac mini M1 and then played back on a HomePod mini. It sounded fine for voice. Since the set up is in Audio MIDI Setup on Mac, I do wish they would suggest which settings to use for meetings (each major product from Facetime to the many others used by doctors and corporations) versus singing or instrument versus voice recording. ... show more

I'm not a podcaster, vlogger, content creator, or musician and am only reviewing this on one need: a mic for Zoom, Skype, and Hangouts. I needed a better solution than the native Macbook and Surface mics and I recently joined a Kickstarter campaign by Maono on its Maonocaster so I thought i'd try out a mic of theirs while I wait for it. I didnt need a big setup like a pop filter and and arm or a big mount and controls so I purchased this one. And my one line review: exactly what I was looking for. I spent the day trying out this mic vs a Samson Go, the laptop mics, and an old cheap gaming mic from a few years ago. I had a few friends Zoom in and load Hangouts with me and they all said the Maono mic was by far the most crisp and it locks in on the voice. The gain control on the mic is a nice touch. I'm using it about a foot to 16 inches away from the mic so I didn't use the puff that it came with to help with popping. Pros: looks and feels really great the stand works well and set up is 2 minutes so far the mic sounds great long usb cord is a plus cardioid mics are best for me because I don't have to talk right in front of it Cons: would have liked a dedicated volume button, a mic in, and maybe a way to rotate is sideways instead of just 180 maybe the only really major thing that is a con to me is that it doesn't have any light indicator to know that it's on or if it's too high or not working. Imagine they have higher priced options but this one was all i could really afford All in all, this thing likely puts that 40 dollar amazon cardioid to shame and it definitely outshines the Samson Go Mic. I'd put it even better than what I remember my Meteor as a being. Really very very impressed so far and completely recommend it for a dedicated mic for teleconferencing and meetings online during all this Covid stuff. ... show more

I purchased this microphone when the internal microphone on an old Playstation headset was starting to give out on me and I am definitely not disappointed! If you're looking for a quality plug-and-play microphone for PC or console gaming on a budget, look no further. It picks up a little more background noise than I'd like when on a voice-activated setting, but otherwise it's been satisfactory all around since I prefer push-to-talk anyway. ... show more
