  • It works well. Has not overheated so far.
This has a decent build quality. I wouldn’t say it’s premium because it doesn’t really feel like a real battery. Obviously it’s lighter but the plastic looks and feels decent quality and the sizing is very precise. It fits everywhere the actual battery would fit. The contacts look to be silver colored which means they aren’t gold and might require more cleaning periodically. The cable looks and feels like very good quality and has a decent amount of snapback, but enough flexibility to allow for routing. There is a routing channel on the back of the battery which allows you to put the cable in the most advantageous direction that you need. I measured a consistent output of 7.87-7.99 volts. The input current accepts 12 to 20 V from USB-C. It looks like a PD protocol. This is perfect for connecting to a USB-C port of a mount battery or a portable power supply so you could run a device much longer than you would get on a standard E6 battery. And of course, if you connected it to an AC adapter, you could have line power going to your device. I’m very happy with this purchase and it feels durable enough or long-term use. And most importantly underload the battery portion of the device did not get too hot now. I haven’t measured it with different types of draw. I just used it on a small portable light so I will be checking to see the temperatures on higher draw applications. Overheating has seemed to be the problem I encounter with most dummy, battery adapters. But for now I’m quite happy with this. The cable is just enough length to make it practical for my set ups and of course you could use a USB extension if you needed longer just be aware that the USB-C protocol does not actually support extension cables, but they do make them. ... show more
