This thing is a lifesaver when trying to connect my radar detector in some of our newer cars because the cigarette lighter isn't placed in a convenient location in newer cars. Now, I can easily plug it in using the USB-C adaptor and keep cords from running everywhere.

Bought cable for my uniden R8 radar detector and the cable stopped working after having it in use for about 6.5 months. When I called Amazon to try and help contact the seller or exchange it the lady acted like 6 months was a long time for a cable to last. Tried to have Amazon contact seller and never heard back. Just wanted a faulty cable replaced and no one took care of it….therefore I had no choice but to leave a 1 star review. If you think cables should only last 6 months….buy this one I guess😂 ... show more

This is a great idea. I used this to replace the old power cable that plugs into a cigarette lighter plug for an Escort Passport Max radar detector. When we replaced the car it was in, the new power port didn't make a solid connection with Escort's old plug. But the USB-C cable works perfectly (no "low voltage" warnings). Also appreciate the right angle on the USB-C plug end so it is very low profile when plugged in. ... show more
