This is a legit 4 x USB3.0 (blue) switcher. It came with all the cables needed including a 5V DC cable that you can connect to any of the 2 PC for power (needed for USB 3.0). So both PC#1 and PC#2 can share 4x USB3.0 devices (also backward compatible with USB2.0 & lower). The 4x USB3.0 port that I'm using are for Microsoft mouse transceiver, rii lighted keyboard transceiver, usb3.0 4TB external harddrive, and USB3.0 128GB memory stick. My PC#1 is my gaming PC and my PC#2 is my everyday linux desktop PC. This usb switcher is a MUST-HAVE ! I also bought another model with 4K HDMI switcher but with 2 USB instead of 4 USB like this one. I highly recommend this product !

I use this product to switch my mouse and keyboard between two computers. It works flawlessly and all it takes is one push of a button. The only thing I wish I would have paid more attention to is the need for a power source to power the bigger devices.

I suppose I knew about the awkwardness going in, because it's evident in the design of these things--one way or another, you're going to end up with coils of wires all over your desk, because either your keyboard and mouse is going to be coiled up in front of the box (whose button you need access to and need line of sight contact to for confirmation of which computer you're switched to) on your desk, or the cables for the two PCs your connecting are going to be coiled up in front of the box on your desk. I chose the latter configuration, since I'm using this to switch between my home PC and my work laptop for days when I can work from home, but it's made a right mess of my desk and seems finnicky about connecting to the laptop (but connects to my home desktop just fine). I wish there was one of these things in a design where all the cables went out the back part, so all my coils of wires could be put out of the way, although I guess that would be less of an issue for wireless keyboard & mouse users.

That's your job as far as switching HDMI ports, but a little flaky on the USB port sharing, mainly on USB higher powered devices. Otherwise Happy for the price
