AMAZING! This kit is super easy! Grows like wild fire! This stage is day 3 or 4. I grew mine in a box I covered in stretchy plastic to keep the humidity in and use a bigger spray bottle (using filtered water) (not soaked!) kept a few feet away from a East facing window. I followed the directions! Didn't ever get even one mushroom. Tried both "sides" figured if one didn't produce the other one would! No luck. I have it out under the bird bath now! Truly dissappointing!

Great value. Best kit Ive ever used. The growth medium it a tightly rolled log, and the box is two sided. The mushrooms pinned within 4 days and produced two beautiful flushes. Ive since rehydrated and rotated the log. Although its taken a few more days, second flushes have emerged. You definitely get a return on the investment plus the joy of watching these beauties grow.

The kit sat in a 66° F (~18.9° C) room for about a month before I followed the directions by cutting the plastic bag and soaked the "log." I placed it on a thermostatic controlled heating pad inside an open box, with the temperature probe between the log and the box that it comes in. The temperature stayed within 1° of 78°F (25.5° C), and I put an led grow light over the box. As if it was racing to make up for lost time, a thumb tip sized mass emerged within the first 12 hours. By the 36th hour, it grew to an adult fist size, and I harvested almost an adult male foot sized clump of gold oyster mushrooms at 72 hours later. I fried the mushrooms with onions and had them on a 90% ground beef sandwich. I'm waiting for the second flush now. The pictures show that these babies grow fast! I harvested about 12 after taking the last picture and it was even bigger than what you see! Bought the oyster mushrooms and only one side grew mushrooms. The lions mane grew NOTHING. total waste of money.

For right now, I’m rating this a 4/5 in good faith. Unfortunately it came in a bag instead of a box for the shipping, so the kit itself was pretty badly banged up. I *think* the mushrooms are okay thankfully, but yeah. If this is your first time doing any mushrooms, I’d go with a different kit just to be on the safe side, since the instructions were pretty badly mangled. If you’ve done kits before though, it’s probably fine.
