WOW! First off I never write a review on anything- good or bad. But this product blew my mind! It is incredible! The siding on my house is white, so I didn't have to paint it which was also great. I had several large holes on the side of my house from hail damage, as well as some small holes here & there that just came with age, wear & tear. A few weeks ago I used the spray foam to "insulate" & fill the holes but then was stressing on trying to figure out what to do with them next. I found these patches & what a game changer. I cut off the extra (cured) foam & then gently sanded until it was smooth with the siding, wiped down the area to remove the dust, then followed the instructions with the siding patch. I'm telling you, my house almost looks brand new! You can not even see that any work has been done at all. It is so smooth, blends in perfectly, extremely easy to use & it leaves you with such a rewarding feeling seeing it done. The cost is so affordable & worth every penny. If your siding is white, you don't even have to paint because the color matches perfectly. This is hands down the greatest product I've used in many years! I'll take some pics & upload the before & after for you to see for yourself.

i waited over a year to use these. I was afraid I'd make the problem worse. We had a good fall day to work outside and I tried the Stepsaver Products Vinyl Siding Repair Patch Kit in two different places. It was SO easy to use. It's very forgiving. If you don't get it right the first time, you can peel it off and try again. It's very sticky - it pulled off a piece of my blue work glove! But that's what's good about it. It was easy to place and easy to press onto the siding where it now matches the siding texture - other than the hole (that I caused) in the original siding. That center section is smooth. I'm going to wait through the winter and see how it does. If It's still sticking, I'll paint it to match the siding. I'm very happy to NOT replace siding when a patch is more than good enough. Great product.

This is a very simple yet effective patch kit to cover small holes in your vinyl siding. The repair kit is really just for cosmetic purposes, so don't expect the vinyl replacement patch to be as thick as the original siding. The vinyl patch itself is quite thin (almost paperlike), but the kit also includes center reinforcing patches which probably help the durability of repaired area. (The reinforcing patch is applied first over the hole; the vinyl repair patch is then applied over the reinforcing patch.) The repaired area should keep out the elements, but are likely to be easily punctured. The included patches are pretty large and can be cut to fit over the damaged siding. They are also self-adhesive which makes them easy to apply. The patch comes in white, but can be painted to match the color of your siding if you wish (I did not attempt to paint the patched area on my siding). Don't expect miracles and this patch kit will help hide the holes in your vinyl siding.

Idk what everyone is complaining about. First off, learn a little bit about realistic expectations. Is it 100% perfect? No.. it's not! But that is not the point. The point is to provide a product that hides a damaged piece of siding. Replace your panel if you want perfect. Small holes are easier to hide and large holes obviously will be more noticeable. If you paint match it's a plus. You will never hide the sticker lines.. although if you go heavier on the paint or do multiple coats and use a styling brush you can artistically make them blend better. For people with textured siding or “wood grain” siding… Before you paint. Take a QTip and press firmly into/onto the existing grain or texture after placing the sticker. This will help with blending and keep the original appearance. For less than $20 you can make realistic repairs that are hard for the naked eye to see. If you look closely and hyper focus on them you will notice them. This product did its job! Good adhesion! I recommend using a non toxic odorless soap with a little warm water to wash any debris or dirt off. Let it dry completely! Don’t rush it. Overall I am pleased with the outcome. To me it turned out 9/10 10 would be completely repairing the panel. The hole I repaired was approximately 2 inches from a rock that lawn mower was so generous to spit out. Hope this helps!

Based on previous reviews, I was very concerned with purchasing this product and whether the patches would hold up well in mid-west humidity and what seems to be constant thunderstorms. Prior to applying the 1st stage vinyl patch I cleaned the area with alcohol spray and dried it with paper towels. I then let the area further air dry for approximately 15 minutes. I then applied the 2nd stage patch. It’s only been 2-months, but between the constant humidity (especially how wet it is in the morning) and multiple sever thunderstorms this year, the patches have held-up extremely well. I fully expect the need to replace the patches, but these have far surpassed my expectations based on previous reviews.

This product is nothing but a piece of self-stick, paper label stock, like you use for mailing labels! Definitely not worth the price and cost almost $5 for return shipping!

A very simple product but it met my expectations and is simply the best low cost option to repair vinyl siding I came across. I applied this to patch to cover a whole in my siding 10 months ago. It's gone through a Summer, Fall, and Winter in the Midwest (Missouri) so it's endured 103-degree heat and -5-degree winters, snow, ice, tornado like winds, 15 straight days of rain, and this product has held up through it all without any signs of wear and tear. Since it comes in white, you will need to paint it to blend in. Phenomenal value for a basic product which will save you a ton of money on home repairs if you delay using it!
