My 14-year old's review: "Overall, this is a pretty good product. Here's a list of the pros and cons. Pros: It's fairly tall. It can do lots of poses, even sitting down. It's also helpful for drawing as you can actually use it's different parts as reference for a body base. Good price It's not hard to pose. It doesn't really let you do unrealistic poses, so you can't really make that mistake when drawing. Cons If you do make it sit, it will pretty much try to fall over, so you need something to prop it up. It can't touch its face, so if you try to put it's hand there, it will make a horrible creaking sound, then as soon as you let go, it goes right back down. As you can see, there are more pros than cons, and so overall, I'm happy with it. Good value for the price. ... show more

The manaqin did come in a thin box and plastic bag that was all crushed. The wood was in good shape so that is a plus for this product

I bought this item as I recently decided to start learning to draw. It's okay. The posing is very rigid and it's somewhat hard to get the figure into the position you would like. The range of motion is also nowhere near that of the human body and there are some poses you simply are not gonna get it in to. The legs in particular seem very resistant to being posed and like to pop back to the standard straight position. It also makes a weird creaking noise when you pose it and feels almost like it might break although mine has not yet. Overall for the price it's not too bad, but it's not too good either. To be fair, I've never owned or used one of these before so I have nothing to compare it with, but honestly I expected it to be a little higher quality. ... show more

I got this for my Granddaughter for her 10 birthday. She is a budding artist and had mused about having a manikin to work with. She is delighted with it. It is very easy to pose and holds the poses very well. Several reviews I read before I purchased this stated that the manikin was not easily poseable or did not hold the position once posed. I bought this for my nephews girlfriend as one of her gifts for the holidays because she loves to draw and wanted one - this was a great size large enough that you can see the angles if you rotate or angle the figure in a specific pose. She loved it.
