When my dad was dying, he had bladder issues and frequently had accidents in bed. I was using a water-proof pad under where he slept, but sometimes he would slide too close to the edge and got the mattress wet. This stuff removed the smell, although there was a water strain left. The stain was not discolored, it was just obvious that the mattress has been cleaned. I was not worried about that. I'm allergic to nearly everything but did not have too much of an issue with the smell, but I did leave the room while the mattress was really wet. After it dried, there was no real smell. I also used this for laundry since his cloths often smelled like urine. I added to the laundry and let it soak. It worked pretty well to get rid of all the smell and never left any stains on the clothing at all. Now that he is gone, I saved it in case any cats had accidents. If you’re dealing with potty training, elderly or disabled family members, or incontinence laundry and sheets, you know how difficult urine odor can be. I’ve tried products that seem to work initially, only to have the odor come back or never leave the fabrics. What makes this different is the ENZYME ACTION. TRUST THE PROCESS!!! I have 2 small dogs that know how to potty outside but if its cold or raining, or they just want to be stubborn, my room was aweful. It was the place they they peed. I was in a deep depression for a while so I nearly gave up on trying to shampoo the carpet every other day the smell was horrid. The ammonia smell had became so strong I left a window open all the time. I bought a gallon of Urine-B-gone, a good spray bottle and crossed my fingers. I wet the whole area of the carpet. I even went over the bad spots with just water in my cleaner but after it dried i re-sprayed with product. The ammonia smell seemed to be getting much stronger, for days. I was about to give up any hope that this product worked. But after about 5 days when the carpet dried well the air started to clear and the difference was amazing. I used the whole bottle and it was a strong smell for a bit... but my room smells great now. I never thought it would smell decent, much less good, ever again...at least without a full carpet change. Unfortunately, they discontinued the brand I use that worked awesome. You could buy it at target. I did some. Research, I found that many people purchased this brand, so I gave it a try. I didn't dilute it, though, I filled a spray bottle and it worked well. I would purchase again.

Wish I would have thought to take before and after photos. Managers smell decently. Trialed the product first with the carpet cleaner instructions. Seem to heighten the appearance of stains, although managed smell well. Then trialed the spot cleaning instructions. Somehow worsened the stain in diameter. Started with maybe 4 inch diameter stains x2 however with the spot treatment then expanded the stain into well over 12 inches in diameter. In spite of soaking up with initially paper towel than regular towel, stain persisted at the 12 inch or greater diameter. Ended up having to go back over with a different carpet cleaner which was effective in managing the actual stain. I do acknowledge there is l always a chance component of user error. Again managed, smell well, but did not manage the appearance of staying well. ... show more

The smell was very strong when I first applied the product to the urine stain my grand dog made. However, I now realize it must have been the enzymes working because once I let it sit 30 minutes and then steam cleaned the area, it dried with the smell GONE! 🙌🏼.
