I’ve wanted to get this machine since I first discovered it on Amazon. I was disappointed when I went to the page to buy it a few weeks ago and it said, “currently unavailable, we don’t know if of when we will get more.” I just happened to look at the page two days ago and first it said there were 4 and then 6 available. I almost hesitated, but I pulled the trigger and ordered one. I’m glad I did because the next day, the page said they were out of the Pet Stain Eraser Powerbrush. I wanted to add this to my cleaning tool, arsenal. We have six rescue cats, and two of them have frequent accidents. We have multiple Bissell and Shark cleaning devices; we tend to prefer Bissell because of their support of animals. The Pet Stain Eraser arrived quickly with everything intact. I followed the instructions and charged the unit until the display showed all the bars in the battery indicator. I had an area in front of my recliner that I had just cleaned that our older incontinent cat soiled again. Before using the new machine, I sprayed the spot with Purrfect Potion a product my wife swears by. I put a paper towel over the area and left it alone to work overnight. The next morning, I reread the instructions and filled the solution tank with one of the 8oz samples. I was surprised that the manual says not to dilute the solution. I continued to use the power brush to agitate the area and then sprayed the solution and proceeded to vacuum the solution up. I also tried the machine on another small area that I had not pre-treated. The machine did a serviceable job, but because one stain is old and the other a repeat soiling in the same spot, I’ll need to let them dry and take a second run at the stains. I like that the machine is battery run and has a power brush, it is quick and easy to use, unlike my little green steam machine, that needs AC power and a mixed solution and then needs a more labor-intensive cleaning. This gem is handy and great for a quick cleaning as soon as I notice the mess. One surprise was that cleaning the two small spots consumed the whole 8oz of solution. I will try different Bissell solutions to see if they can treat older tougher stains, and I may try pre-treating them as well. This is a powerful addition to my cleaning tool kit. The solution in the dirty solution tank was eye-opening, the liquid was almost black and had hair and other solids in it, so I know the vacuum and brush are doing their job. I bought this for my elderly dog who didn't always have control over her bodily functions. She passed away about 6 months ago and we have since gotten a puppy we went through potty training with. Let me tell you, this was a game changer for us. It is always ready to go with the premixed solution in its tank. It's cordless so you just unplug and go! No cords, no separate water/solution mix, no big heavy machine to haul out to use for a 6" spot and then clean and put away. Then once you've cleaned the area, pop off the small bottom container, dump out and then rinse. Easy peasy! I have found it cleans extremely well even removing old stains that the big carpet cleaner couldn't remove! I haven't had a problem with it not sucking the water out of the carpet. It's not any worse than a regular carpet cleaner. I haven't had a problem with the battery giving out even when the unit hasn't been plugged in for a couple weeks. I would use several times each day for our elderly dog without charging in between. I never even got close to running out of battery juice. The premixed cleaner isn't really cheap but you don't go through it too fast because you're just spot cleaning. There were 2 little bottles included in the package. I'm sure other company's products would work but I found the Bissell stuff to work really, really well so it's worth it to me to get the ickiness out the first time! You can use this for more than just pet messes. Pice of chocolate that got ground in? It'll take that out. The infamous "Not Me" person wipe their Cheeto hands on the carpet? Use this. Your kid pukes on the floor? Yep, that come out too. Muddy shoe or paw prints by the door? You've got it covered! I have 3 cats and a dog. Messes are inevitable. After buying a home with an entirely carpet second floor I knew we needed something to get stains up with. I LOVE this little machine. Anytime a pet has an accident I clean it up with this little machine and the carpet looks brand new and smells like the shampoo. I even used on a wine stain that was a couple weeks old and I couldn't get out of the carpet. It entirely removed the stain! The vacuum is also very easy to clean. The parts come apart easily for washing. A lot of reviewers have complained that it leaves your carpet wet. It does, but I expected this. Prior to buying this, we had our carpets professionally cleaned. After the professional cleaning the carpets were wet for hours as the shampoo dried. I bought this machine because I was looking for something that worked in a similar way. Given that the vacuum applies suction but not heat I didn't expect it to completely dry the carpet. Lost a star because it does have a short battery life although for spot cleaning this isn't too bad. Also, it is very specific about the way you can hold it. It cannot be tipped or turned specific ways, which is a bit annoying. Especially, considering the cost and the fact that I have a toddler who loves tipping and turning everything. ... show more
