This eyeliner has its ups and downs. Sure as promised it does last all day and doesn’t smear as much as others. Downside, you line one eye and already have to sharpen it again. It’s a little inconvenient to have to be sharpening so often. Also, it’s a little pricey so with all the sharpening, it doesn’t last too long. I found the L’Oréal infallible to last just as much, smudge very little and it’s half the price - and it’s mechanical so no sharpening needed.

This goes on easily, but rubs off fairly easily as well. The color is true. Really watch to make sure you sharpen it if needed before you use it every time it you may scratch your eyelids - it's extremely soft.

This is the best "pencil" eye liner. It glides on and blends beautifully. Although it "bleeds" a bit in an 8-10 hr day, (my lids are oily), it will stay on until I use a makeup remover or baby oil to remove, which I appreciate. It doesn't flake off when trying to blend, like some significantly more expensive brand pencils. Also, doesn't irritate my eyes. I don't wear a lot of eye make up; only enough to define without being obvious or bold. The pencils generally sharpen well without breaking off and last a long time.

Goes on smooth and amazing colors but the first two I ordered weren't sealed and used. The one I finally got as a replacement isn't very easy to sharpen, it makes a mess. The black is so smooth and gorgeous though

Update: I must update my review of this product from 1 to 4 stars. I still believe something about it has changed, but my 1 star review was not fair. I regularly clean all of my cosmetic tools, but noticed that my Urban Decay sharpener had a little buildup in it that I hadn't noticed, since makeup is applied without glasses on! It's not that old, but I took the time to clean it very well. The Urban Decay eyeliner now sharpens much better and doesn't have all of the little sharp wood at the tip. I am finding it to be much better overall! This pencil is soft and will create a mess inside your sharpener, so make sure you clean it often! Sorry Urban Decay!! I have been using this Urban Decay eyeliner for years. Once I figured out that the Urban Decay sharpener is the only one that sharpened it right, I loved it! The last 2 that I've bought on Amazon are total garbage. They will not sharpen right and the eyeliner just cracks and falls out, with the wood splintering in every direction. I'm going to buy one elsewhere for comparison because something is not right here!
