    • Plyo Case is great! Worth the extra money.
This case is awesome! When looking for cases for my S9+ I wanted the case to be thin enough where it didn't add too much bulk, but I also wanted it to be able to at least help protect the phone in case of a drop or fall. I also wanted it to have a lip on the front and back to protect the screen and the camera. I had bought a few different cases beforehand, but they just didn't feel right; they were either too slippery, not grippy enough, didn't have a large enough lip, or hard to hold with one hand. I decided to give this one a shot and I am so glad I did. I went with the Plyo case because of it's less industrial look. The case is thin and doesn't add much bulk, but it feels like a quality product and seems like it would help if the phone were dropped (hopefully I won't have to find that out the hard way though). It also feels great to hold, I have a very secure grip on the phone and I don't feel like it is just going to slip out of my hand. It also has a nice lip on the front to protect the screen, and some lips on the back to protect the camera. The buttons all work great and are textured. The side of the case is textured as well to help with your grip. All in all I would say this is a quality product and I'm really happy with my decision. While the case definitely costs a bit more than some you can get, I think it is worth it in the long run. ... show more

    • Everything I was expecting from UAG
I just upgraded from my 6-year old Galaxy S6 (protected for 6 years by my old UAG) to a certified refurbished S9+ direct from Samsung (I have nothing but great things to say about that also - never buying or leasing a new phone!). I ordered this UAG case because of my essentially perfect experience with the old UAG case. Fits like a glove, gives me confidence if I drop this phone - feels every bit as comfortable as the old case (and I've dropped the old phone quite a few times with zero problems). This phone has the "edge" stuff - but just like the old case it has reinforced corners that stick out a bit above the screen to take the brunt of any drops. All of the ports are open and easily accessible - power and volume controls feel natural (actually easier to control than just the phone by itself). Also, despite it's obvious durability, it doesn't make the phone feel bulky at all and slides easily in and out of my pocket. Oh, and I think it's worth noting that this case works with the wireless chargers - for those I recommend the Seneo upright charger - I had nothing but bad luck getting any phone (case or not) to ever work that round flat Samsung wireless charger... If you're a semi-cheapskate like me and get this phone, this case is a must. 3 or 4 years from now when I finally upgrade to the Galaxy 20 or 21 I'll definitely go find the the UAG case for that. ... show more

    • Completely sold on UAG cases (SEE UPDATE!)
**** UPDATE - STILL BEST CASE EVER - WILL PROBABLY BUY NEXT PHONE BASED ON AVAILABILITY OF THIS STYLE UAG CASE FOR IT!!! I have dropped my phone so very many times on brutal surfaces, and the phone always comes out of the event unscathed. I cannot recommend this case highly enough. Also, after almost a year, you must look close to see any signs of wear or tear on the case. Amazing! And the rubber fake screws are all in place, the UAG logo is in place and fine... **** END OF UPDATE**** I had an Otterbox Defender for my new Samsung S9+ back in November but was not happy with it. The rubber along the bottom never fit correctly after using the port flaps a couple dozen times and it was too bulky to easily go in and out of my pocket. I'd had my eye on the UAG cases for some time, and when the price dropped after the S10's came out I decided it was time to give one a try. I have the Cobalt blue Plasma case and I love it. I've had it for nearly two months so this review is after a bit of use. This is now my favorite brand of electronics cases. The case fits my phone perfectly. The buttons work great with the case - much better feel than any other recent cases I'd used with my previous phones. And it has protected the phone from numerous accidental drops without any damage to the phone or the case. It slips very nicely in and out of my pocket and I have no concerns whatsoever with setting my phone face down. I do call "BS" on the three layers of protection. There are three different materials between the rubber "buttons" behind the fake rubber screws, the hard blue case, and the rubberized top and bottom ends. They all contribute to the protection of the phone but it's not 3 actual layers. In spite of that little bit of marketing deception UAG gets to keep all 5 stars. BTW - in seeing this case and some of the complaints others have made about their cases, I wonder if they had "knock offs". The fake rubber screws do not appear to be going anywhere and the UAG logo is recessed and staying put. Mine was sold on Amazon by UAG so I was sure I was safe... that proved to be true! ... show more

I love the kickstand option on this phone. I was happy that it folds up very flat so it doesn't add much thickness to the case when not in use. I have a co-worker that has the same case. His kickstand broke off but I use mine every day and have not had any issues. The case itself is very solid. It's easy to pop on or off. I have 2 minor negative things about this phone 1) The finish is wearing off at the back corners and 2) I am unable to plug my earbuds in because the case sticks out to far where the jack gets inserted. Probably time for me to switch to wireless earbuds anyway :) ... show more
