Got this case for my iPad Pro 13" (7th Gen, 2024), and it does the job well. Overall, it provides great protection and securely holds the Apple Pencil, though the pencil feels a bit exposed at times, especially when tossing it in a backpack. The stand is functional but can be a little flimsy during use. Despite these minor issues, it’s a solid case that offers excellent protection and convenience. Highly recommend!

This case is the best on the market for the new M4 iPad Pro. It has a very industrial look, which I personally love. I have been using this daily and I am extremely confident that this would protect my iPad under almost any circumstances. Every time I have shown off my iPad to someone, they asked or commented about this case. Its made from a very hard plastic, and the screen cover is lined with a suede like material. The magnetic latch for the Pencil is easy to access and is secure. Overall a fantastic buy, far better than anything Apple or any other company has on the market right now, and the only thing I trust to process an almost $2000 device.

When I first opened the package I was very happy. The case looked great. That happiness vanished as soon as I sat down on the couch with it as it’s impossible to hold this case comfortably. Absolutely terrible design. If you try to hold it with one hand, the cover flap just falls off throwing the whole tablet out of balance. You are forced to hold it either two hands to use it. And then even holding it with twi hands, the pencil flap gets in the way.

I was already familiar with the excellent build quality and protection the UAG Metropolis iPad Pro case provides, having use one with my previous 2018 iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd Gen. The outer PU material provides excellent protection for the front, back and sides with all the necessary cutouts for the speakers, USB-C port, cameras and buttons. Auto sleep/wake works well when closing and opening the front cover. The kickstand feature is great, allowing you to mount the iPad horizontally for video and movie watching with adjustable viewing angle. With a wireless keyboard, you can use the ipad like a laptop. I love that an Apple pencil holder was provided, on the correct side of the iPad, allowing the pencil to be charged while in the holder. The magnetic flap wraps around the pencil, securing it in place. The one negative I have about the Metropolis case for the iPad Pro M4 is it's a one piece wraparound design, unlike the Metropolis case for the iPad Pro 3rd Gen where the folio cover/kickstand could be detached from the back cover. Holding my iPad Pro in portrait orientation, the front folio cover flops in the back unless I fold it back and hold the iPad with both hands to keep it from flopping. My fingers are then touching the suede inner fabric holding the ipad with the front cover folded over. I would prefer to be touching the outer plastic instead. Or have the front cover be detachable like the UAG case for the 2018 iPad Pro. Aside from that, I would still highly recommend this case over the folio case available from Apple, which costs a lot more and doesn't have all the features of the UAG Metropolis case.

Perfect as all my previous cases from UAG. The only thing I can complain about is that in the design the turn on/ off screen button is a little bit hidden for my taste. It is not that accesible. But for the rest. I would not trust any other company for safe keeping my iPad from falls and protection. Nobody does it like this guys.

I’ve used UAG products for my cell phones. the product provided excellent protection for my phone. So, based on my experience I purchased the the UAG for my iPad Pro. I’m somewhat disappointed in the product. Below is my take: 1. Pros - The internal part of the case that holds the iPad is excellent. It will definitely protect your iPad. - The iPad sets deep into the internal case holder. - The corner rubber/plastic bumpers well protect the iPad and access points to buttons (though it takes a little effort to get use to. 2. Cons - the cover panel is wildly at times making it clumsy to handle at times. - the flap that is used to securely close the case, has no where to secure when the case is open. Thereby, the flap has no magnet to secure the cover when it’s open. - the hinge is too narrow adding to the cover’s clumsiness. - these issues can make the case frustrating at times. It may take some time to get use to the case. 3. Recommendations - Magnets, Magnets! ‘Adding the magnets to the case would stabilize the the cover and the closing flap. - in that the hinge is narrow, it should redesigned to run fully in the length of the cover attached to the case. I’ll continue to use the UAG case. If I need to replace the UAG I’ll purchase another product unless these issues are corrected. It is a shame, for the past products are excellent and last forever.
