Second time mom using the Uppababy bassinet as baby’s overnight bassinet. With our first, we had the bassinet on the floor for the first 3 or 4 months before transitioning to a crib. But with baby #2 I had an unexpected appendectomy four weeks after his arrival and needed a standing bassinet. This stand is totally overpriced but we were desperate and needed a solution that didn’t require us buying an entire new bassinet. Price aside, it’s great. I swear baby even sleeps better now that his bassinet is elevated. It’s a simple construction but very sturdy and low profile.

Great accessory for the bassinet

Our baby enjoyed sleeping in his bassinet, so we reluctantly purchased the stand so that he wasn’t sleeping in his bassinet on the floor. This is way more expensive than it should be, but we still enjoyed it while he used it. It folds up and can be stashed in a corner easily. And for the price, it is good quality and seems like it will hold up through multiple children and then hold its value to be sold on marketplace.

Not with the price for limited use

We ended up not using this as much as we thought we would, and there is quite a bit of buyer's remorse especially considering how expensive it is. It does not have much secondary use after baby outgrows the bassinet unless you buy the similarly expensive laundry retrofit. For that price, I would rather replace this with a proper laundry set anyway. The pros are that it is lightweight if you are traveling with the bassinet and stroller anyway. The cons is that, even folded, it is quite bulky, and will take up a chunk of space in a car that already holds an Uppababy stroller and bassinet.

Defective and poor turn around time for replacement

The stand arrived promptly. When I put it together, two of the dowels snapped before I even added an tension. While there is a screw to keep everything tight, the instructions say to not use it if anything is broken. Uppababy is replacing it under warranty, but I wish I had just returned it to Amazon. It took three days for UB to respond to my email, then two or so days for them to confirm I could get a new stand, and then 3-7 days for them to ship it to me. I have had to resort to using my stroller as the stand which is highly cumbersome. I ordered the white. I have no doubts that the paint will come off at the lightest contact.
