No instructions were included in the box to be able to hook it up, just a description of the device and what comes with it. Once I googled the instructions, it sent me to a YouTube video and it said the hdmi stick needed to be plugged in to a usb power outlet that doesn’t come with the device. Once plugged into the usb power outlet, however, it worked. Still, you’d think it would not only come with instructions, but everything you need in order for it to make it work.

Includes a ton of retro games pre-installed. Easy to set up and start gaming - it's literally plug and play. Controllers oddly require AAA batteries (instead of AA batteries like most controllers). Controllers are lightweight and cheap feeling, but they work surprisingly well. Excellent gift idea.
