We stuck these on the stairwell and in closets for our young kids. They love the lights come on automatically as they go up the steps and they don't need to turn on the hall light. Also helps give more light in closets. We use rechargeable batteries so as to not burn through so many. We use the magnet to attach to the wall. This feature is best because you can take the puck off and use it like a flashlight. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the fact it would burn through a lot of batteries ... show more

These lights work great as far as the brightness, battery life, and motion detection. I started out using the magnetic pads to place the lights where needed but after about a month the lights starting falling so I replaced the magnetic pads with the adhesion pads (both came with the product). After a little while those didn't work either. Now I have attached the lights to Command strips and so far that seems to be working. ... show more

Opening and closing the back panel for battery access is straightforward. As stated, batteries are NOT included. One large white round is an adhesive patch. Smaller round is a magnetic patch with removable cling protection. Two screws are included, although there are three openings for screws. The lamp part is very lightweight. Battery placement is clearly indicated. Individual boxes are not sealed, so they can be opened and reclosed without damage. (If you want to install batteries and gift the lamps.) ... show more
