I'm not sure where to begin with this one. It doesn't come with a power cable but you can plug it in to USB-C which you probably have laying around. Or you can power it with batteries so there's that. It feels extremely cheaply made and is incredibly light weight. There are a variety of instrument options which is nice and only a couple of them sound awkward. It makes duck noises so that's a definite plus (as well as dog, frog, and bird if that's what you prefer, I wish there were cow) or some basic drum sounds in the event you aren't having a hootenanny. The microphone stores in the underside of the keyboard but isn't held in by anything and has a tendency to fall out and can be easily lost. There really isn't much to it, so if you want something to keep your kids entertained (and drive you bonkers) on car rides this will be worth your while.

The media could not be loaded. Creating music as a hobby has always been part of my life, and the kids love to fool around with my proper keyboard piano. So I figured, if they've been bitten by the musically creative bug, this is perfect little instrument for them to play around with. And for "playing around", it's perfect. It is indeed a toy. I make this point because when it comes to introducing music to my kids, part of me always wants to default to real-deal "beginner" or "novice" instruments. I had to work through that bias when assessing this, because this is not a genuine instrument. It's instead right at home next to a baby doll, or thrown on top of a pile of building blocks. That point of clarification aside, this a great toy piano. The tones are actually pretty decent. It has a selection of backing rhythms, some drum sounds, and animal sound effects. Surprisingly enough, it even has a basic recording function and tempo adjustment! So in spite of not being an actual instrument, there is enough to mess around with on this keyboard that it could, in fact, serve as a launching pad for a musically-cognizant toddler. Subtracting a star for a few reasons. 1. The microphone works but will 100% be destroyed by practically any child, since it has the weight and construction quality of tissue paper. 2. Tons of strange glitches in the sound engine. You can actually play 3-note chords on this, but if you add a 4th note, the keyboard will create tones that are completely out-of-tune. Super odd. Not possible to play its demo tunes in real life given this glitch. 3. $28 is too expensive. On that final point, this is not worth nearly $30. This is a $15-$20 toy at the absolute most. Go into any brick-and-mortar retailer, check out their piano toys, and you will realize this is overpriced given its construction quality alone. But hey- it's a featureful toy, and the kids love it!
