The value of this hydroponics system is incredible! It costs almost half the price as it would have if I had tried to make it myself! I thought for sure that because of the price, it would be cheap and full of chemicals. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and found a bunch of spare parts and manuals on how to set up a full hydroponics system! After taking these parts out and setting them up without glue, I went off to buy PVC glue to finish the job. It all went together fine until the last part. After slipping all of the tubes together except for the last horizontal one that holds plants, the vertical support pipes had already been locked in by the other horizontal tubes already glued in place. I had to cut part of the tube and it was a struggle, but I got it eventually and it works and looks great! The pump is very small and is about the size of two fingers put together, but it pumps adequately and works perfectly with the system along with the timer. I also had fears that it would be low, and the bottom row of plants would practically be on the ground, but that is not the case at all! It is well off the ground and I am no longer worried about my bottom row plants collecting dust. I also loved the baskets that this kit comes with. They are very well made and fit into the square holes very snugly and securely. It also comes with some foam grow media-type cubes, but I didn't trust those and set them aside. Overall though, this was probably the best thing I have ever gotten from China, and maybe one of my best purchases ever. I was really blown away by the value (it was a little tough to put together but after that it was fine). I definitely recommend this hydroponics system!

Set up was done without any problems by a plumber friend who did a good job. So far the motor is working and there are no leaks in the system and no set-up issues. I put my seeds to germinate and once they sprung up I got the system going and inserted the seed pods and baskets. I am only 2 days in and checking with excitement every day to make sure everything is ok. So far, so good. Yes you can purchase the parts and make your own system, but this is perfect, less work, ready to assemble and the price is worth it. I am looking forward to seeing how my hydroponic garden develops

Pros: The unit I got was easy to set up, took maybe 30 minutes. It does have directions and the pipes have lines to where you have to meet when joining the pipes. I haven't had any leaks. Cons: The sponge material that is included with this will hold water and cause root rot. I lost 30 strawberry plants do to this. Do not use the included sponges, get some rockwool or other product instead. The water does not drain properly from all pipes, the angle needs to be a lil more steep. The white pipe will encourage algae growth as light still penetrates. Use aluminum foil or other light blocking material around the pipes to inhibit algae growth. The pump does work.

The build quality is excellent. I had no leaks after putting this together and didn't need to use glue, sealants or tape. I looks nice and take up very little space. It is low maintenance and easy to use. My only issue with this is the flow is not equal to all tubes. Some tubes get more water flow than others.

This came in exactly as expected, no damage to pipes and on time. I've had it a year now and have had great success growing in this system. Pros: - Cheap, Sturdy, no leaks. - In roughly 1 year I have grown several Dozen Bok Choi, a good chunk of spinach, and various amounts of parsley, cilantro, dill, and other herbs. - We also used it to start plants indoors before transplanting outside in the spring (mixed success here because the root systems need to work hard to adapt). Cons (nothing you shouldn't expect going in): - It's a pain to clean. I recommend a seasonal disassembly and solid scrub for algae. Advice - This isn't a thousand dollar subscription service, you'll need to put the effort in to make this work. Lights, food, pump, and timers. - You should not expect to use every station. As plants mature I'm down to about 2 per pipe, but that is plenty for our family. - It does particularly well with leafy greens. - Be thoughtful about neighboring plants. Fast growing bok choi has overgrown and killed a few of its neighbors.

These use an unusual size pipes. I have visited several home improvement and Pipe stores and have yet to find any compatible size pipe to make adjustment or even spare parts. Not very stable and piece need to be forced together. Save money and build your own. This is not worth it.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to assemble, mallet broke on first swing put honestly I wasn’t even expecting one. Great kit would’ve cost way more to buy all the fittings and PVC pipe alone not to mention trying to engineer it myself, which would’ve been a massive fail, anger, torment, and more or less breaking stuff and 13 trips to the hardware store. I can guaranteed this would have all ensued! No need to forget to mention all the stops at McDonald’s for the kids on the way to the Home Depot. Just the amount of time and anger I saved made this kit so worth the price I paid. One piece came broken and I was missing one piece, but the company sent me a quick replacement expedited wonderful customer service!

The system is decent especially for the price. Easy to put together. My issue is the timer on the pump doesn't work. It just stays off and never pumps. When the power is connected directly to the pump, the pump works but I don't want it to run continuously.
