Update with pic of the replacement they sent. I give up. This company doesn't have any quality control checking these things. I'm returning this plate grabber and getting my money back. -- Original review (from yesterday): This thing is worthless. It feels a little greasy or something. It's blotchy, but the worst thing was that one of the pincer's pads was pressure stuck to the other. Trying to use it (the bare, metal gripper) on glass cookware will probably lead to cracking or chipping it. This is going back. ... show more

I've used a rustic camping style equivalent to these for years, but when it comes to things like the steel part of an instant pot, the ergonomics were lacking. This grabber really helps keep things at a good angle for moving around, makes it easier to handle. The only thing I would ding it for... there is a lining for the grabbing ends that can come off into your stew if you're not careful, so keep your eyes on it until you can discover a food safe equivalent to t-6000 or whatever. Overall, a big help in moving unhandled pots back and forth around the kitchen. Quality is good (except for that grabbing end) and I would gladly spend under six bucks for a hot plate grabber like this. So it is a great value. ... show more

I wasnt sure about this dish grabber because I thought it might damage dishes. It wont. It is a quality item with a padded grip that feels very secure. This item will live on top of my microwave
