UPDATE: i’m changing my previous 1-star review as the issue may have been the charger, not the battery. Still waiting to see what happens after a couple of days. Battery died after 6 months of using it 1 time per week, max.

Our Dyson V6 battery was 10 years old and finally started giving up. Was running shorter and shorter. This replacement battery promised to be more powerful and longer lasting than an actual Dyson brand which was $129! So for a fraction of the price, I was sceptical, but so far has worked amazing - just as promised. Hopefully it lasts for years, but so far I have been very impressed.

Thought my vacuum was dead and would need to be replaced, but figured I'd give this a try. Sure enough, it fixed the problem! Runs better than it ever has. Look up "dyson battery replacement" on YouTube. There are a bunch of tutorials on how to install. Pretty easy -- just requires a Phillips head screwdriver.

I was a bit worried with the many reports that battery packs like this didn't have the oomph to properly drive my older Dyson V6 vac but this pack does, did, and hopefully will for least 4 yrs like the original. I ran it for 2 minutes straight out of the box and it didn't falter or even get get warm. Then did it on the Max setting & same results. I'm a happy camper, uh, happy vacuumer !
