I was a little hesitant to purchase a lower-priced, non-Hoover replacement battery for my old Linx BH50020PC because the reviews for cheaper batteries were all over the place. However, this battery seemed to have mostly positive reviews so I took a chance. I've had the battery for several months, and happily, it charges reliably and has brought my old Linx back to full capacity (maybe even better). The "signal" for when the battery is charged is a little different--the charger displays rapid flashes instead of the long, gradual flashes displayed with the original battery--but it fits the charger and vacuum fine, and the charge lasts for quite a while. Update: The battery lasted 1 year and 4 months before it wouldn't charge anymore, so I had to buy a new one (another brand since it was cheaper). I didn't use it that much since the Linx had become my spare vacuum, so that might have contributed to the short run. I'm not changing my rating since it worked well when it was functional, but will try to rotate the vacuum in more and see how long the new battery lasts.

What a bad experience, it been just over a year and the battery is dead. Stay away from this product y’all. This battery does not have a long life so beware.

The battery seems to be working well. I bought it due to its relatively low price as a replacement for my now-dead OEM Hoover battery. It ran the vacuum (suction and brushes) for over 10 minutes each time I've used it. I have had it for only a few weeks, so I can't rate its long-term reliability over several charges. As is often the case with aftermarket batteries, this one is not 100% compatible with the OEM charger. The battery charges just fine, but you will get the flashing light that indicates a bad battery. This is due to the battery having different charge capacity than the OEM battery the charger was designed for. The battery is much lighter than the original, which usually means lower quality when comparing batteries. I don't think this is a fair critique in this case, as battery technology has changed much in the past decade and a newer battery will almost always be lighter than a similar battery that is much older.
