It was an easy install and fit/finish looks good. Battery life was much improved over a 5 year+ battery. I haven't tested the limits but it feels as good as the original, maybe even slightly better. Time will tell on longevity though. So far, I like it with some caveats. It does come in the black plastic that the other pictures are showing, which I'm not a fan of. Also it isn't as responsive as the old battery. It seems to start and stop late compared to your trigger pull. The review that talks about the action switch/plunger length being different may be on to something. Lastly, the screws that it came with are junk - try not to strip the original screws.

I wanted this to work out. My Dyson needed a new battery, and this had good reviews. Everything was packaged well. The included replacement filters were OK and not a perfect fit. The included screwdriver was flimsy but did the job. I was able to take out the 3 necessary screws with ease, replace the battery, and the get it to a full charge. It was great to be able to use the vacuum on high for more than 5 seconds and on medium for more than 5 minutes. I was able to vacuum all 3 floors. It worked well aside from taking about a fraction of a second from pulling the trigger to getting power. That wasn't a deal breaker. It worked fine until a few weeks later. I started using it and it lost power not even a minute later. I chalked that up to me maybe not squeezing the trigger, but that didn't fix it. I took the filter off and back on and let it sit for a minute. It ran for another 30 seconds and quit. At this point, I was curious if I didn't put it on the charger correctly but it didn't blink red on the last bar to indicate low battery. When I grabbed the battery, it was HOT. It wasn't warm but hot. I left it alone for a few minutes and it was still hot. I left it alone for 30+ minutes and it was cooler. I thought maybe this was a one-time occurrence and tried to use it again. It came back on only to once again cut off after 30 seconds with the battery hot. I can't have what could easily be a fire hazard in my house and chose to return the item.

Very weird delay when pressing button and power comes to device, also when turning off, another slight delay. seems very sketchy. Price was good value for the money, i will be testing the rated capacity of 8000mAh, it's hard to believe. Also the color is very different than Dyson's original color. But good quality build.

Battery used one time without issue, would not charge back up. Unfortunately I just purchased as a spare and didn't try using it before return policy time limit ran out by about 30 days. I don't recommend this product.
