    • New life for older 980
This large capacity 3300 size battery gave my 5+ year old 980 new & extended life. My mostly tile floor takes about 1h45m to clean, the old battery started to fall short, and the several hour recharge in the middle of cleaning was annoying. This OEM replacement finishes the job with power to spare. I tried an off brand, terrible run time. Then ordered an OEM that fit, but didn’t realize it was was a smaller 1800 capacity.     • Works just fine
So this battery replaced the original battery in our Roomba. Seems to be working fine over the past year with no issues. The original battery lasted about 4-5 years. We will see how long this one lasts. So far, everything is working fine. Installation was a snap.

    • A successful start
The replacement battery was easy to install and charged quickly. I have only used Roomba a few times on the new battery and Roomba performs like new. Need to wait 2 years to see how it really performs

    • Always buy original items
I bought a vacuum irobot 981 and stored it for 2 years (great price at Nov 2020) due to ongoing house remodeling. When I first recieved my 981 I tested for full functionality. Then stored it in closet until timfor use. Fast forward 2 years (sept 2022) .. storage killed the battery. So I bought a cheap version for under $20. The cheap version did NOT last 2 weeks before going completely dead. At least I was able to confirm 981 was good, battery was bad. I returned the generic battery and bought this OEM battery. 2 months later, still going strong. Moral of the story. ALWAYS BUY GENUINE ITEMS. ... show more

    • Should last 2-3 years, but doesn't
I bought this $120 OEM battery that claims it should last 2-3 years thinking that it would last that long. Unfortunately one year in, my Roomba 980 runs 30 minutes, charges 90 minutes, then runs 10 minutes, charges for 90 minutes, then runs 8 minutes, then charges for 90 minutes. Needless to say it's not getting the job done. It worked great for a few months, it just doesn't last. I keep my roomba clean and well maintained and did all the troubleshooting iRobot suggested.     • Battery life of replacement battery
I purchased this battery, and when it didn't last a complete cleaning, I called iRobot to see what could be done. I found out the performance of the battery was lower because the front wheel on my unit was so clogged with debris it barely turned. This was making the unit work harder, draining the battery prematurely. I cleaned the wheel and now the battery lasts a full, complete cleaning!     • Roomba iRobot 980 vacuum
Firstly, i purchased different brands cheap priced batteries. They have better capabilities and longer run time but strangely the battery wouldn't charge. They fit perfectly tho. Finally, i returned all cheap batteries and bought genuine product which worked perfectly. Costly but worked charm.
