When I purchased my Shark, I went on amazon and order a battery that was generic and was only 2.5 volt compared to the Shark 3.0 volt. It never lasted every long and eventually just died. Right before it died, I bout the Swidan battery specifically for the Shark Ion Vac. More than pleased is an umderstatement. I can vacuum the entire house now with one battery. It is quick to charge and suction is great. Buying cheaper doesn't always work and this is one time that that statment proved correct. I just bought a second Swidan so I always know I can use my vacuum whenever I want.

Well, I really hoped that this battery would have lasted longer than the 2 year old battery that I have that came with the vacuum but even being brand new, the life is barely longer than the original battery that this is replacing. I really wish they offered a corded option slide-in power cord for this & all battery tools/appliances.
