I replaced a pair of 10' daisy-chained 3/8" Natural Gas hoses with this hose. Besides eliminating one set of quick-release fittings and increasing the quick-release fitting hole size, the increased diameter of the hose made a HUGE increase in the output of my patio heater. The only caveat is that in order to bleed off the substantially larger amount of air in the hose through the pilot light orifice at the first lighting, the valve must be pressed in for a very long time. It may be possible for you to get around this issue by preheating the thermocouple with a lighter as I did, thus allowing the valve to be fully opened and purging the line quickly, but your design may vary. In the picture the line appears shorter than it actually is because 6' of the hose is used to reach the burner assembly at the top of the heater. I bought two of these hoses and will be upgrading my BBQ pit line with the included adapter shortly. I am very pleased with this purchase.

They included thread tape that is a good value. The quick disconnect is very good also. Good luck on finding a hose at this price anywhere else. The hose itself is very good quality. HOWEVER a little hint is do not try to shorten the hose. It is metal lined and when you cut it a connection cannot be made. So in essence you get a 24ft hose that cannot be modified. I had to buy two because I did a dumb thing.

after connecting this line to a small propane tank ,ten minutes later it blew apart. I was just preparing to light the heater. If this would have happen after I ignited the heater it would have burned my garage down.
