I fought my Campchef DLX grill for over 10 years. It could never achieve the temperatures needed to cook and/or smoke food properly. The original DLX sadly had inadequate abilities and did not have PID control to wind the temperature loop output up to correct for the error. As a result it couldn’t add more pellets to achieve temp. The factory kept blaming different pellets, grill setup, dirty temperature probe etc regardless of following all of their recommendations and trying new temp probes etc.. I finally had enough and replaced the original 1.6 rpm motor with this 2 rpm motor. FINALLY after all that time, frustration, and no effective help from the manufacturer, this solved it. So, if your CampChef or comparable pellet grill struggles to achieve temperature, speed up the pellet delivery with a better faster aftermarket motor assembly.

It was a perfect fit as far as it exchange. Phan works and runs just fine. However, your temperatures are going to run high when mine was set up to 250, the actual was 295. At 225 it was 240.
