The bar is made of aluminum and I paired it with a 31.8 mm diameter, 35mm stem to shorten the reach for my son. The old grips swapped over to this handlebar without any issues. Great fit, easy install on kids bike. Ran them with short grips and 8 speed trigger shifter. Plenty of room if using smaller grips. Great for JR bikes.

Decided to shorten the handlebar on a 16" bike in order to fit my little one properly. Excellent product for the price. Love the color since it matches the bike and ity way lighter vs the original handlebar. A cheap upgrade that makes a ton of difference.
