I was previously using kore mega 35mm bars with 20mm rise and I got these bars to test and see if i like 50mm riser bars and if compliance is better on 31.8mm diameter bars. These bars are good bang for the buck. They aren't butted bars and they do weigh a bit more compared to the bars they are replaced (my old bars weigh at 270 grams), but for the cost, they are hard to beat. ... show more

Good handlebars, solid for the price with a rise not seen at this price point. It made my mountain bike more capable at descending and more comfortable on the flats. I may have lost a little traction on the front wheel vs my completely flat bar on the ascents. However, that's a trade of I expected and was willing to make. One star was deducted because there was a small little imperfection on the bar: a small dimple on the bar that didn't affect its performance but speaks more to quality control issues.. At this price point you have to sometimes expect those little things but it's not worth the trip to return the product. All in all a solid product that offers strong value for buck. ... show more
