I use these folding handlebars everytime I need to convert to a folding design. I even replace other folding handlebars withe these because they are rock solid and have a redundant lock whick means that they will never come loose and collapse on you when riding. On a child's bike, it allows you to fold the handlebars inline with the bike frame allowing you to lie it on its side without the handlebars sticking out. I'll load up the back of my SUV with other items, then lie the kid's bike on top of everything. Without the folding bars, it wouldn't clear the headliner. This improves my vehicle's cargo capacity when I need to bring along "everything" plus the bike. I also have one of these installed on a folding electric scooter (emove cruiser) which solved the problem with the stock loose, shaky handlebars. There was a bit of trial and error but, with a reducer shim and neck extension, it all came together nicely. Locked into place, the folding handlebars have zero wiggle thanks to the high compression of the locking mechanism. Folding the bars is a 3 step process which ensures that it will never collapse unless you fold it intentionally. This handlebar is a clone or maybe licenced replica of the legendary "xtasy" folding bars, so you know the design it the best in class. You can't do any better if you're looking for folding handlebars, and the price isn't that bad either. ... show more

We purchased two sets of these for our Sondors fat tire electric bikes. Having a small garage, the ability to fold the handlebars and streamline our bikes made a huge difference in getting the car in/out without worrying about clipping one of our bikes. My husband is an aircraft mechanic and just raved about the quality of these handlebars. They were easy to install and all our handlebar components swapped over flawlessly. First off, I have a full sized folding electric mountain bike that came without folding handlebars. Therefore, I would remove the handlebars to get the bike to fit into my car's trunk. One trip and that was enough. I purchased this product so I would not need to do that. It does work as planned. Now there were some difficulties. I did need to use one of the provided shims to get the handlebar to fit on my bike's stem. Please note that you are adding some distance to your handlebar position. This could affect your ride and handling. The handlebar is very crowded. I have: ebike control/throttle, l/r brake handles, f/r gear selectors and r/l grips. Since you need to keep free enough space around the hinges for folding purposes, that makes it tricky fitting it all. I spent a lot of time readjusting these items. Because of the position of the handlebar mounting screws, I was not able to get the bar to fold completely, so I could not re-clamp the handlebar release lever. That left the folded parts loose. One last thing, I think the weak part of this design is the 'peg' that the clamp attaches to. It does not appear to be an integral part of the handlebar, and could break off. However, the box does indicate that it has been safety tested and I've had no problem with it. The product arrived earlier than expected and was well packaged. Overall, I am pleased with the product. It does what I want it to do and the release process is quick and easy. No more need to remove the handlebars when transporting. ... show more

Installed these handlebars today. It was an easy swap on my 22 year old mountain bike. They worked perfectly on today’s 15 mile street ride. Folded nicely when I got back to our small apartment. Looks like I’m finally going to be able to get this bike out of our way
