I loved this tent! I usually hammock camp but this time I was camping with my dogs and bf. The tent stood up against a rain storm with winds ranging 20-26 mph and 4.7 inches of rain. The only water that got in was at the corners where the seams meet. Everything stayed dried inside so long as they weren’t rubbing up against the walls that obviously got wet during the rain. The walls of the tent are not made of the same materials as the rain fly. The tent fit our full mattress and could fit a queen mattress and we still had space for the dogs and our stuff. The windows on each wall of the tent allowed for great ventilation. My only complaint would be the front door zipper has a flap where the zipper would often get caught. Just bought this tent because me and my bf were cramped in our other one, this tent is MASSIVE, it’s so tall I’m 5’6 and I have more than a foot above my head, it was easy to set up and take apart, took me and my bf 5 minutes to set up and me alone 2 minutes to take down, the quality is pretty good on the poles, they’re very thick and the elastic stays together very well so they don’t pop out, it has a lot of windows to open and also 2 doors. I have yet to test it outside but from what I can tell this is worth the money, get this tent if your indecisive and want a roomy tent for 2/3 people, this can definitely fit 6 or more it just might not be so comfortable. ... show more

So I've never been camping and had never setup a tent before this. I definitely recommend setting it up in your living room or backyard before you camp just so you can get a feel for the setup if you are inexperienced like myself. I practiced setup one time at home and it was a breeze setting up on our actual camping trip. The tent was sturdy and the stakes stayed in the ground well (bring a hammer to drive them into the ground). The zipper to get in and out of the tent was spacious. Many windows u could open or close as you choose. This tent is nice and tall! We could stand up perfectly with much room to spare and my husband is over 6 feet tall. We got the 4-6 person tent and fit a queen size mattress plus had extra room and could've fit another queen size mattress in it if we wanted to. Roomy, not too heavy to carry, and I felt very comfortable in our tent while sleeping. This is a bang for your buck! ... show more

My wife and I camp a lot, we had a can't stand up in tent and that was too harsh on us. We inherited a 10 person stand up tent, but it had no aftermarket parts, so I bought this one. I used my Copilot+ on my Surface Pro 11 bought here on Amazon to help me decided which tent to buy. Copilot+ suggested this tent based on me and my wife's needs and abilities. I set it up to inspect it and to see if one person could set it up. I did, but it took about 25-30 minutes, that is not bad IMO. It was very easy to set up. It has great ventilation and the fact that you can leave the rain flap off and not one can see in through the top is awesome. I was able to stand up in every part, which I loved, I even reenacted the listing photo putting my hands up inside. The four side ropes is what helps it in wind, but I suggesting adding reflector flags to the ropes so you can see them at night. I also liked the door opening better than that other store brand. The double layer is also nice for the rain. I could see that when staking it to the ground not to pull on the stake rings, but gently stretch it with the poles. Also I wonder those that are having the ring attachments tear, are they stretching it before adding the poles and staking it to the ground? I always add the poles, rise it then use the poles to gently stretch it in place and carefully drive in the stakes. I was not able to fold it small enough to get it back in the bag, so my wife will take over that, but it will fold back up small enough. With our experience in camping I give this tent a good recommendation to buy. I am basing this on the test setup and inspection. Sleeping it in is just sleeping in it. ... show more

Two Weeks ago I went camping with a group of people - one was an acquaintance who had recently bought this tent. We all had different tents and hers was far superior because she fit a whole twin sized bedframe in her tent along with futon mattress and a table-she could stand up in her tent to change and actually had a large sturdy room. The rest of us had low tents we had to crouch around inside and when the wind blew the tentS hers held up well while our tents kept whipping around in the wind and hitting us and waking us up. The next morning she was far more cheerful than everyone else 🙂 Fast forward 2 weeks and THIS TENT WAS PRETTY REASONABLE so I bought in a color I LOVE (I was happy there were so many color choices because I got a teal tent and she has an orange one-I think mine blends in with the environment a little better!!) and went camping again. There are many things I love about this tent and only one complaint. I love the big size (it's the size of a small room in a house!) and the very sturdy legs of the tent and the height. It has the 3 poles in the top to hold the top out, but then it has these wonderful long sturdy legs on all 4 sides that are so easy to install securely that give it the height and also are not part of the top assembly so hold the tent more intact in the wind! I like the fact that it has four windows and the mesh hammock in the top is a great place to put a light at night and it also has two mesh pockets on opposite sides of the tent well off the ground to store cell phones and flashlights. I also feel like the poles are a little thicker and a very good quality-I have had fiberglass poles splinter over time in the past and this tent seems like it will hold up a better with the thick, study metal poles.The tent was easy to set up and take down and fit nicely in the bag again (in the past it has been a struggle to get a tent back in its bag so I appreciate the little extra room in the bag so it is not such a huge struggle). After one weekend of camping it I think it might be the nicest tent I have owned as far as ease of set-up and comfort inside. The one thing I would have liked is for the door to have double zippers. In order to open or close the door you have to run the single zipper all the way from the top to the bottom in a very long C shaped track every time. You can’t zip the bottom zipper up a bit to keep out your friend’s little dogs and the zipper is nothing special (not YKK) -I am worried that over time the one zipper is going to start sticking along its long path and break. All of the windows have double zippers so I am not sure why they did not put one on the door. All in all this is a great tent at this price point. As usual with all tents I think it might be a struggle to fit 6 people in this one tent, but in my experience all tent size estimates assume there are going to be 6 very small people with no gear sleeping on the ground so this is not shocking. I think you could realistically fit maybe two adults and maybe 1 or 2 children on a mattress and maybe some gear in the tent comfortably at the most.I like separate camping cots and I can’t see putting more than 3 in there. I will still give it 5 out of 5 stars unless that ONE zipper in the door breaks and then I will be back to pitch a fit (hopefully it will hold up!) ... show more

I saw the price and the size for 6 and as an avid camper, I said; “ Nahhhh. Really?” Waterproof, wind proof, easy to set up… Unfortunately, it’s not idiot proof, which I’m sure would be helpful to some customers. 😳 The set-up instructions are sewn into the bag, very helpful that they are, but not so helpful in the clarity of the instructions. I, being a usual customer, read the instructions and all the disclaimers. Interesting that the order info post claims the tent to be “waterproof” and the instructions claim “water resistant” 🤔 The instructions also contradict the order product info in wind resistance and suitability in heavy rain. They suggest that you “bring it in” if the weather threatens. Yes, according to the instructions the “outdoor” tent is not compatible with the….”outdoors”. Weird….🤷♂️ I really can’t rate its water resistance yet. . I mean if the writers can’t figure it out, how are we supposed to? 🤷♂️ We’ll see what happens. I’ll set it up in the yard and wait for rain. I’ll stay in it overnight. We’ll see. So, the advertisement on Amazon, is not consistent with the information with the instructions.🤔 This is in compliance with my American corporate rule of consistency. “It’s consistently inconsistent, that way you can count on it, constantly”. New. I just received the tent and I set it up in the yard. The direction are not easy to follow, but are a baseline to start from anyway. Follow the pictures and it’ll come to you. Once I had it up and could inspect it, I noticed some important things: The major seams were treated with a brushed on water proofing. Somebody had to brush all that goop on the seams by hand. In the shower of rain we had - an over night to mid morning shower, I had no leaks. The tent stakes are those smooth nail and hook kind. Not only are the inexpensive but they don’t grip the soil very well. To solve this, just push them into the ground diagonally. Then make note to purchase replacements. If you expect wind, good stakes with a solid hold would be best. The mesh ceiling provides plenty of ventilation. There are no zip flaps to close them up, unfortunately. I’d say the tent is a two season, really. Spring and summer camping. If you like the chill in the morning, you could get by with an early fall. The closer you get to winter, this isn’t the tent I’d use, unless you could close the ceiling. Whatever heat source you have will just float up the “chimney”. I suppose you could drop a small tarp over them, between them and the fly and fix the corners to the pole joints in each corner of the tent The mesh gear loft is a good idea but….But it covers the ceiling hook to hang your lamp.🤷♂️ Somebody boo-booed. I’m going to sew in a middle hook on the mesh gear loft so that I can hang a latern from it. There are no inside fabric hoops nor hooks to run a line across to hang things inside the tent, just little fabric loops in each corner and across the middle would be great to run a line to so that you could hang light things if it’s raining outside. The door zipper is kind of awkward. The zipper’s rain flap flips the other way half way down. I get the idea. If you don’t flip it, the way it’s designed you’ll have a zippy bucked over the zipper instead of a rain cover. 🤷♂️there must be a better way to do this.🤔 Helpful Henry’s Holistic Help Always lay a good ground cloth to mount the tent over. I have a 10x10. It worked fine. Careful of the corner support poles. They are kinda flimsy. You might consider stout poles made of better materials and a telescoping body.
