    • YOU CAN STAND UP IN THIS TENT

Two Weeks ago I went camping with a group of people - one was an acquaintance who had recently bought this tent. We all had different tents and hers was far superior because she fit a whole twin sized bedframe in her tent along with futon mattress and a table-she could stand up in her tent to change and actually had a large sturdy room. The rest of us had low tents we had to crouch around inside and when the wind blew the tentS hers held up well while our tents kept whipping around in the wind and hitting us and waking us up. The next morning she was far more cheerful than everyone else 🙂 Fast forward 2 weeks and THIS TENT WAS PRETTY REASONABLE so I bought in a color I LOVE (I was happy there were so many color choices because I got a teal tent and she has an orange one-I think mine blends in with the environment a little better!!) and went camping again. There are many things I love about this tent and only one complaint. I love the big size (it's the size of a small room in a house!) and the very sturdy legs of the tent and the height. It has the 3 poles in the top to hold the top out, but then it has these wonderful long sturdy legs on all 4 sides that are so easy to install securely that give it the height and also are not part of the top assembly so hold the tent more intact in the wind! I like the fact that it has four windows and the mesh hammock in the top is a great place to put a light at night and it also has two mesh pockets on opposite sides of the tent well off the ground to store cell phones and flashlights. I also feel like the poles are a little thicker and a very good quality-I have had fiberglass poles splinter over time in the past and this tent seems like it will hold up a better with the thick, study metal poles.The tent was easy to set up and take down and fit nicely in the bag again (in the past it has been a struggle to get a tent back in its bag so I appreciate the little extra room in the bag so it is not such a huge struggle). After one weekend of camping it I think it might be the nicest tent I have owned as far as ease of set-up and comfort inside. The one thing I would have liked is for the door to have double zippers. In order to open or close the door you have to run the single zipper all the way from the top to the bottom in a very long C shaped track every time. You can’t zip the bottom zipper up a bit to keep out your friend’s little dogs and the zipper is nothing special (not YKK) -I am worried that over time the one zipper is going to start sticking along its long path and break. All of the windows have double zippers so I am not sure why they did not put one on the door. All in all this is a great tent at this price point. As usual with all tents I think it might be a struggle to fit 6 people in this one tent, but in my experience all tent size estimates assume there are going to be 6 very small people with no gear sleeping on the ground so this is not shocking. I think you could realistically fit maybe two adults and maybe 1 or 2 children on a mattress and maybe some gear in the tent comfortably at the most.I like separate camping cots and I can’t see putting more than 3 in there. I will still give it 5 out of 5 stars unless that ONE zipper in the door breaks and then I will be back to pitch a fit (hopefully it will hold up!) ... show more

Hi, I first bought a 10 by 14 foot tent on Amazon used for really cheap. It was okay quality, but the zipper broke within the first couple of hours, and my god, it was way to big. Also, when walking on the bottom, I got a hole in it in less than a day. It was like the bottom of a cheap garbage bag... So, I returned it the next day. Then I bought the Core 7 by 8 foot tent, and a queen size bed. The bed took up the entire tent leaving zero room for anything else. Really nice tent, but low quality and that is really kids size tent. Now I bought this 10 by 9 tent and I love it. much higher quality than the other tents. Easier to setup. Queen can go in as well as lots of other stuff. Fabric is thicker, metal thicker, This tent has a open mesh roof that allows you to see the stars. This tent also has 5 mesh Tent Windows. This is a Ferrari of Tents. I love this tent. For the price you will probably never find better. It is not for living in, just for having fun in. Now I put a Queen size bed in it, a 55 inch TV, a remote control fan/light. Still room for more stuff :) I love this tent, for the price you will most likely never find better. Even the rain cover weights like triple than the other tents, quality, low price, and an amazing product. This is the perfect tent for most people. Before Buying this I saw complaints about the Center Bar. People said its to long, short, etc. It is not. You just have to make sure your tent is square/rectangular. Meaning pull the tent till the corners are all tight. then put the pole in. How come we did not have cool tents like this when I was a Kid?     • Had to return due to broken elastic in pole

So sad that we had to return our tent. We really liked it and it was our first time getting back into camping after 30 years. But, as someone else said ‘one of our poles elastic came undone and became useless. But, other than the door, there wasn’t a feature we didn’t like. The roof is entirely net, so star gazing was lovely. The fly was easy to put on. The pockets were fine. The straights walls were nice. However, if you touched the sides AT ALL during the night, really invited water to come on in. But, to be honest, it’s a cheaply made tent, construction just really isn’t there. For another $200, we can get a sturdier, better quality tent. We should have just spent the money and do that vs. having to go thru returning something and looking for a better quality tent. And, hope to get it before our next scheduled camping trip. ... show more
