  • Used while hunting in Rockies so far, so good
Color: Beige Size: Diameter: 16.4 ft
Set the tent up, the directions are vague but usable. Everything seems to be working, zippers etc. There are 2 rubber cups that insert into the long tent pole to keep from punching holes in PVC floor and in roof. I recommend also to put a 6 " x 6" plywood piece on floor where pole goes. The stove jack is 5" opening and the canvas flap over the stove jack rolls up and ties - however I noticed the rolled up canvas flap will touch the hot stovepipe. I recommend some heavy aluminum foil or something to stop the hot pipe from touching the rolled up flap canvas. The tent stakes are usable but not all that long, on a windy day in wet ground I could see them pulling out. I recommend some rebar stakes about 14" long as a backup. Time will tell, using it in Colorado in October. Comes with nice bag for tent, and one bag for poles, and one for stakes. Update: Used tent for 10 days while elk hunting. REALLY windy in camp, like 45 MPH gusts. Tent did not blow over, no rips, had to cinch some lines twice a day. CS alpine stove was in tent. Got nervous when wind lifted stove off ground so we put rocks on stove and tied stovepipe to ground stakes. The stovepipe got so hot it sort of melted the tent stove jack, but not bad. We tried to keep the stove pipe temp at safe levels but the pine burns so hot and fast, and wind its hard to do. Tent zippers work after a week of inebriated elk hunters using them. Will use again next year. Bent stakes when hitting rocks in campground which I anticipated. I brought some heavy 1/2 inch rod to drive in ground, this aint my first rodeo. There was 3 people in 16' tent with our hunting gear and a table which is just right. 4 people would be crowded. Update: Used tent again in fall of 2020 in Colorado. this time it snowed. noticed no moisture in tent, the water resistant fabric is still working great. Snow melts and rolls off tent with a little shaking from inside. zippers still work. I am having to tie the tent ropes to stakes now, cinching does not work anymore. And all the tent stakes are bent so I use 1/2 inch rebar now for stakes. THe hard rocky ground of CO is hard on stakes. ... show more

  • It’s great but … you might want to read this review
Color: Beige Size: Diameter: 16.4 ft
I own an older pop up camper that is great, but I wanted a good tent to take to places where the pop up might not be practical. I’ve always wanted a Bell tent and, after much research, I purchased this one. First let me say I have NO issues with the tent. It’s sturdy, large - well overall very nice. My review has nothing to do with the quality of the tent. My family took the tent on its trial run this past weekend before taking it on a longer camping trip next month. During that time, the weather for the most part was great. However, there were times it did rain heavily and the wind was fairly strong. The tent did beautifully. No leaks. The wind wasn’t an issue. Perfect, right??? Not exactly. Something I hadn’t planned on was when it came time to pack the tent up and head home, because the ground was wet/muddy, the bottom of the tent was naturally wet and muddy. No fault of the tent. There was no time (plus it was still lightly raining) to thoroughly clean the tent so it was rolled up wet and muddy. The instructions say the tent needs to be completely dry or it will get moldy and black spots and discoloration will be occur. The instructions also say to not go any longer than 2 days before airing out the tent. The problem is that it’s still raining where I live and there’s no place to put the tent up to dry out. I could put it up anyway, but the ground will still be wet and no telling how long it would take to dry with a tent covering it. So letting the tent dry completely before storing it seems impractical at this point. I took it out of its bag and tried to unroll it out as much as possible in my shed, which isn’t very large. I go out every few hours and move the material around so hopefully the air can circulate enough that no mold will grow. It’s supposed to stop raining later this week. Hopefully no mold will settle in before I can get the tent set up to properly dry out. That’s my only complaint/concern, but it’s a big concern. The tent itself is wonderful and I highly recommend it. Just know that storing it properly might be an issue. Thought you all might want to know. ... show more

  • Great tent. Cheap hardware.
We opened a glampground in Utah in October of 2020. We purchased two 13 foot tents, two 16.5 foot tents and one 23 foot tent. We also purchased White Duck tents. On the whole, we have found Unistrength tents to be better. However, Unistrength hardware is cheap and will cause problems if you have wind like we do. We had the center support pole on one of the 16.5 foot tents bend in half during a wind gust with guests in the tent. That was an expensive mishap as we had to get them a hotel stay. The pegs for the floor and guy lines are too small for the 16.5 plus size tents in wind as well; we had the pegs pull out of the ground and bend in only a 22 mph wind. The guy lines are also too weak for the 16.5 plus size tents; they regularly snap in wind gusts. All this being said, the tents are great for the price! We replaced all the center posts with solid one piece 1 1/4 black steel pipe and secured the 16.5 and 23 foot tents to decks. The 13 foot tents are fine in the wind on the ground due to their lower profile. We recommend buying longer and stronger tent pegs (minimum 12 inches); if you’re handy, home made rebar tent posts would give you custom length options and strength. We also recommend having backup guy lines on hand for when they snap. We have all the glamping tents we need for now. Everything considered, the cost of replacing the cheap hardware is more than worth it. The floors and canvas on these tents are sturdy and great and that’s the most important part. When it’s time to replace our tents we will be looking at Unistrength again. ... show more

  • Love this tent!
Purchased the largest tent offered and was not disappointed. This tent is awesome! We have a large family and there is more than enough room for 10 plus the stove. It took us less than 20 minutes to set the tent up on the first try, it can't get much easier. It is important to note that the larger the tent the more muscle it takes to get the center pole set. Another side note is if taking it down on a windy day be prepared for it to want to take off like a hot air ballon. Get yourself a whole family to jump on and it becomes almost as much fun as a moonwalk until all the air is removed from the tent. For extra credit, we got the tent in the bag on the first try! ... show more

  • This tent has been through some stuff
I have not taken care of this tent. It has been up continuously for at least a year and a half under trees in my yard. I’m starting a farm and although I didn’t have to, I stayed in the tent. It’s looking rough, the fabric is stained and mildewed, the original ropes wore out (replaced with paracord), but it is still standing well and intact and doesn’t leak. I have really tested it. We took it down for a few gusty tropical storms but otherwise it stood through it all. In Florida. Once, it flooded and water flowed under the tent. The floor was like a waterbed, but the tent somehow stayed dry inside. I don’t usually review stuff, but this morning in another storm it hit me that this tent deserves a review. Five stars, definitely recommend. Oh but the door zippers wore out. It’s fixable with a little doing but doesn’t matter for my purposes. But also, who uses a tent every day for a year and a half?! Me, apparently. I’m sure the zippers last otherwise. ... show more

Updating my review because I contacted the seller and they are sending out the stove jack. This tent was supposed to have a stove jack, which was the very reason I purchased the tent. But it arrived and was just a regular bell tent with no stove jack. I contacted the seller and they are sending out a stove jack buy I will still need to install it myself, hence the 3 stars. Otherwise it is a very nice tent and sturdy. ... show more

  • Really well made tent
Color: Beige Size: Diameter: 16.4 ft
I needed this tent for winter but I put it up once I received it in the spring. first on putting it up there is a trick. Put the stakes in a little close then the center pole and then move the stakes back out until taunt. It took me a while to figure this out but I can tell you I put it up by myself without issue once I figured it out and I am a little short woman. Once up it weathered multiple storms and high winds throughout the summer without any issue. It is now weathering a heavy snow storm. It took the snow load like a champ and I think I only need to tighten the guidelines in the morning. I can't say how please I am with this tent. ... show more
