i dont care for the belt that comes with the shorts, the belt is fine if you like that kind of belt but i prefer a high quality black leather belt with all my pants/shorts. the one improvement that could be made is to add 2 more belt loops around the waist for better support, that said, if you want a longer (below the knees ) pair of shorts that are comfortable and look great, then these are the ones. UNION BAY has always had good looking clothing. i got 8 pair in assorted colors. they are sold out of the very cool looking "pineapple" design in my size (38) though, really wanted those. overall, good style, good fit, true to size, washes well.

The shorts are a very good quality. Other brands that I have bought were thin and not sewn together well. I like the length of the shorts as well I am over 6ft and have long legs. These shorts went down to my knee. They are a comfortable fit as well. When I squat down they were not too tight.

Very good shorts. Plenty of pockets, perfect length, just below knee. Pockets have snaps instead of Velcro closures. However “Red Shorts” bleed like crazy.

The material is a little on the thin side, but that seems pretty par for the course anymore, and not really worth knocking off a star. Overall these are comfortable and fit well. I did not even realize when I ordered these that they include a belt, which is a nice bonus.

Thin? A little. But that makes them comfortable in the heat. Durable? One belt loop recently broke but I probably need a size smaller or tighten my belt. Two ripped. But I wear these daily. Some I purchased 3 yrs ago. I'm not easy on these. I just purchased 5 more. Great for casual every day wear.

I've been buying unionbay clothes for a while now, as a man with unnaturally large hips and thighs I have a hard time finding a good pair of pants or shorts. Unionbay has great clothing at a decent price when you're a 300lb person. I did buy a size smaller than I normally would because I've lost weight, and it is tight in the hips but otherwise these shorts are pretty great. Nice pockets, good material- very lightweight- and comes with a good belt too. Length is right where I was aiming for. 4 stars only because the zipper of this one at least is constantly getting stuck on itself, but it might just be an issue with the fact it's a *bit* tighter than I was hoping due to buying a different size than normal. I do suggest adding 2" for us bigger guys when looking at your measurements before buying Union Bay, these are not stretchy material. UPDATE: So, I've only had these like 2 months and have had to throw them out. The fabric isnt very strong, so pulling a bit too hard on belt loops would rip seams. A few weeks ago the crotch ripped out while I was at work. Sad, I enjoyed these while I had them. Maybe a bit too expensive for such short lasting cargo shorts.
