I put this together by myself- the instructions recommend two people- and I was able to put it together in about 3 hrs. I’m not typically one to build or put together furniture, but it was fairly easy- just took time to put in all the screws. I’m 5’4 and it came to my shoulders. Overall it looks cute. I have a small collection of books, and it’s almost full- I know I’ll have to eventually upgrade, but this will work for a few years! This shelf is an amazing product for the price! When it arrived all of the pieces of wood were all individually wrapped and then surrounded by thick styrofoam. Not a scratch or crack in any piece. The installation is exactly how every installation should be. EASY AND QUICK. They don’t give you 25 different types of screws. I order two of them thinking it would be more gracious and I was right. Let me tell you. At first as I got the package I was so disappointed to recieve a broken package. I wanted it for a basement so it was hard carrying both packages down the stairs and even though I wanted to return it with out opening I was so lazy to go up the stairs and carry it to a shipment center. So I opened the undamaged package first. It wasn’t the most clean furniture I bought. As I ordered white I wish it could have been cleaner or at least the dust fades away as I try to clean it. Nope! It didn’t. I wasn’t happy about it but as I assemble it, it started getting my eyes wider. It took me nearly 2 hours to assemble. (I am no professional). But it was easy. Once assembled the only thing itching my head was the dirts and scratches on it. So I open the second box hoping it was better (even though the packaging was damaged I don’t know why my hopes were high). It was same as the previous one. TBH a lil more scratches and dirts. I am annoyed but do I wanna return? NO not after all the effort I made so I thought of some ways to cover it up and it looked fine for now. I like the furniture and material, it is firm. Alignment was easy. Manual was great. The size seemed a little smaller than picture when in here but not bad. I think it is a little to expensive for the quality of product I received. ... show more

This turned out to be a very sturdy feeling shelf system. The instructions are printed on one side of 1 sheet of paper so the pictures are very small but overall easy to assemble in less than 1 hour

We just opened the box and there was no hardware or directions. We ordered Whitewood and it is all scratched up it looks as though someone has already used this. I did not order a used one. I ordered a brand new one, but that is not what I received.
