Our igniter on our grill conked out and we needed to replace it. Our grill is about 6 years old or so and we use it frequently. I went online to find a replacement and saw that this same kit was running about $56 elsewhere. Found it on Amazon for $20. We don't need the igniter wires yet, but it's nice to have them when we do. I think it took all of 5-10 min to put back together and now we can use our grill again.

Even though this model was not specify listed as working for my grill (Dyna-Glo) it fit and works just fine (the unit housing looked similar to me before purchase). I chose not to swap the spark leeds, I just connected the originals to the new power source. It worked on the first try and took no time at all to install and required no special tools.

Getting the old switch out was difficult, but installing this entire kit was super easy. Can now use the electric ignition to light the grill again. Installed on an older Char-Broil grill. Was sick of using a lighter on the side. I like grilling during the cooler months here in FL.

Bought a new pizza oven and the starter went out in less than 3 months. I could have replaced it but didn't want the hassle of taking it back to the store and waiting, so I ordered this and solved my problem.

As the first picture indicates, the wire is exposed at the electrode, meaning that it'll short out on any nearby metal and the grill won't light. The second picture is one done correctly (sort of; the electrode insullation shouldn't be melted like that, but it should work). Pretty frustrated. I bought a full kit to rebuild my grill, including igniters last fall, but couldn't get the starter to work. So, I replaced the starter itself. Still didn't work, i.e. somewhere under the grill one or more of the igniters are shorting out. So, I gave up, and decided just replace all the igniter wire/electrodes and bought this kit. Bought in Feb, didn't get to installing it until now due to the weather, and now this problem. I'll see if I can salvage one of the igniters from the other kit, and get the grill back on line. Essentially, we've been without the grill most of the winter (trying to pull everything out to put a flame to the gas is more work that the BBQ is worth). I've killed a half dozen hours on this stupid 45 minute project (i.e. yeah, I've rebuilt this multiple times, 45 to an hour, including cleaning it out with oven cleaner), just because every part that Amazon sends me is suspect or defective.
