Love the fact that it fits flat against the fireplace and doesn't take up extra floor space. Looks sleek and modern and helps bring my dated living room to a modern feel. Made well, ease of parts and assembly.

The screen is affordable, not super-classy, but nice and it works great. The styling isn't amazing, but it's contemporary and clean. It's kinda typical of Chinese construction (although it might have been designed in the US to be cheap, of course) where the parts are simply bolted on, but there's not a lot of precision, so it could seem flimsy. But, since nobody really messes with it much, it stands in front of our fireplace happily and looks totally OK. Can't complain for the price, really. I dig it. The first one we received, though, had defects in the screen down the right side. It's like the machine that makes the screens had hiccups and just made a mess of the screen, but welded and powder coated it anyway. :) The sad thing is that someone let that get out of the factory. Someone in quality control clearly was not looking or didn't care that day. Thankfully, Amazon DOES care and quickly sent us a replacement! Love Amazon! ... show more

    • Perfect, Simple Fireplace Screen that is Just What We Needed

We really like this fireplace screen. We had a glass one before but it was never properly sealed, so it actually sucked in the air that just ate through the logs. My wife wanted a nice, clean and simple screen and we have been very happy with it. We were concerned that the bottom mounts wouldn't fit in our fireplace but they slide sideways and are adjustable so you can get it just right. We are happy with this product and would recommend it. Make sure you measure your fireplace and order just slightly larger, no need to go crazy as smaller and tighter looks better. ... show more

    • Overpriced Like Crazy
This feels kind of cheap to be honest. I paid $150 and it looks like the price just went up to $170. That’s crazy! This is not worth even $100. If I had a chance to see it before I bought it, I might pay around $79. The metal that makes up the frame is pretty flimsy. The mesh is pretty thin too, and the holes are spaced apart too far. I feel like a small spark could still make it through and give my carpet a little dot burn mark. The size was fine, seems a little smaller than advertised, but still fit my fireplace.
