    • Big radio in a small package

I wanted a small CB to monitor logging trucks while cruising the National Forrest. Having a small truck with little space for equipment, this solved the problem. The large display is a plus and the entire unit fits in my hand. Definitely plug n play and with a stick on mico tools required. Coupled to a 3' Firestick antenna, it's a serious unit. ... show more

    • Works well
EZ to install/remove from vehicle. Needs external antenna to work properly, batteries not included. Can be used as stand alone walkie talkie with either alkaline or ni-cad battery case.

    • Uniden? Really? Something tells me No Way!
Wow. Why Uniden out their name on this CB blows my mind. Trying to figure out the parts is like teaching trigonometry to 3yo kids. The battery cases will at least make u laugh. No way a human came up with the design of this thing. If AI had a flu and salmonella at the same time I’d understand but just barely. It requires 8 rechargeable batteries or 6 alkaline batteries and each has their own plastic case that looks like it’s gonna break at any time. The way you open these cases is nothing like I’ve ever seen before. The antenna is about the other part that felt familiar. Look for any other radio as once again this one shows you get what you pay for. Blah. ... show more

    • Nice radio notes nice battery life.
I have a love hate relationship with this one atm. Build quality looks are all pretty good love the larger screen two color options and the 2 in 1 setup like the Midland 75-822. My biggest beef with this radio is the unrealistic amount of drainage on the battery life it displays when you transmit even on a fresh set of AAs. The battery meter has 3 blocks and a fresh set of batteries the moment you hit that PTT it drops from 3 down to 1 however it bounces back after you let off. But you only get a few cycles like that before it just stays at 2 of 3. Also the radio will just jot transmit at all after the batteries get to a certain level yet the radio powers on and does everything else for a number of hours afterwards. I ran a side by side test with the 75-822 equal amounts of TX and RX and this radio blew through 3 sets of alkaline AAs to the Midlands one set over 3 days of constant running 24 hours a day. This one I believe is better suited for use in it's mobile configuration that a portable handheld. Inhale not tested rechargeable in either yet. ... show more

    • Great combo car and portable handheld cb radio
Excellent cb radio with many great features, comes with everything needed to mount it in the car, as well as to use it as a handheld, has an adaptor to run it off 12v, as well as adaptor compartments for rechargeable and alkaline batteries, so it will have a good battery life, reception and transmission are good, have good range, clear signal, low noise, good features that are easy to switch on the radio, all wiring included, easy to install, very portable, and of course the great build quality that's expected from uniden, compared many current models and this one is the best in my opinion ... show more

Tolerance is on the battery case are very difficult to fit. Radio did not work upon receipt. When B the batteries were in the case. You have to slide it until it clicks. Then it works perfect

Good radio. Makes a nice option paired with a wired helmet headset to give CB capability to newer bikes that don’t have it.
