Before receiving it, there was some concern about the weight of the pen as it was advertised as "light weight". The heft is pleasing and did not feel like featherweight made-in-China at all. The smaller pen style fits nicely into shirt pockets as hoped. The clip catch could be a few millimeters closer to the top of the pen to help accommodate (certain) shirt pocket flaps. Anxious to see how long the ink cartridges will last that the pens came with. If desired, I didn't see anything about availabiliy of, or exactly what refills would be needed? ... show more

For many years was using Parker pens since their style was preferred. Every couple of years through normal use a replacement was needed. At $35 it just didn't make sense to keep doing this. Bought these for the gold trim piece to match gold trim on my uniform. I prefer to hang my pins from the shirt pockets - and apparently the clips were meant only to hang from very thin paper or shirts. Over the stitching of my normal collar T-shirt for work, the clip ripped off and broke in 2 hours. Writes well enough though. Just frustrating the purpose I bought it to match my work uniform is a moot point ... show more

My experience has been that even premium pens require priming before actually starting to write. I always have a sheet of paper standing by to squiggle on before I write. Not necessary with these pens ... so far. For the money and the utility of a thin-line pen. I'm good. I recommend.
