Okay, so I bought the Unger 18" squeegee first. Much to my dismay it didn't have the ability to take a standard screw handle like one would expect. Fast forward and I figure I'd go ahead and by this handle. How excited I was to have it snap into the product it was designed for! And it does! HOWEVER, the "snap-in" hole is elongated and 1/4" longer than the tab that pops into it. This means that the squeegee assembly has play (movement) and can slide up and down slightly and it can also rotate a bit side to side. So, it is NOT a nice solid tool as you would expect with mating parts made by the same company! OMG, are you kidding me!? How could you even bring this to market? This is supposed to be a pro tool? I feel like I should return them both at this point, but that's a royal pain. Perhaps I can begrudgingly get some use out of them, since they will only see limited use over the year. I just can't believe it. Do they even have engineers? If so, they should be brought before the ASME and put on trial and then sentenced to 10 years of picture-window washing. ... show more

This is not a knock on this product since it is not intended to use standard pool attachments (brush, net, etc.) and, indeed, it does not do so. However, if you search "pool pole" Amazon lists this product as second in the list. If, like me, you just purchase it without reading the description since you assume that since you were searching for "pool pole" to, you know, clean your pool then you will likely regret your purchase just as I do. I also purchased the "Unger Professional Microfiber Window Combi: 2-in-1 Professional Squeegee and Window Scrubber, 14" from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W8C14I). I'm disappointed that this made-to-match Unger pole is a very sloppy fit into it. The pole and cleaning head are both of good quality, but they just done mate well together. There's a lot of "play" in the connection, and it just doesn't seem strong/sturdy. I circumvented the problem by wrapping the end of the pole (where it mates with the cleaner) with two layers of gaffer tape. Now I have a tight press-fit connection between the two, but I really shouldn't have had to do that. ... show more

    • NOT FOR POOLS! WRONG CONNECTIONS!

This is NOT a pool pole. Regardless of what it says in the description. I searched pool poles specifically too! It will not match up with any kind of pool cleaning tools because it has a twist on feature which begs the question why have the button feature. Attachments need a hollow center and there should be holes for the attachment buttons not buttons on the pole. Amazingly, It even shows below, pool attachments that have been purchased with it! I bet those people returned theirs because they'd have had the same issue. We bought all our cleaning supplies before we set up the pool and by the time I pulled it out of the box to use it, it was too late to return it! I don't usually leave a 1 star reviews, but because the ad was originally misleading and cost me over 20 bucks for something I can not use, return nor sell to anyone... because it's useless! Solid pole and a great price. I have zero complaints about the pole. However, I didn't like prices on the cobweb brushes from Unger, so I paired this with the Ettore 48221 Cobweb Brush. I left a review on that brush as well, but these attachments don't fit well across brands, likely by design, less likely because of quality control variance. I'm not sure which. Anyway, image from my potato camera is a quick fix to pair this Unger pole with an Ettore brush. I just drilled a 1/4" hole on a side without existing holes (to not mess those up), center drill point 10mm from the base, file away any plastic bits on edges. 10mm seems to be right for enough friction on the brush and to fit the locking mechanism, but I wouldn't go less than 10mm. Maybe 10.5/11 mm for an even snugger fit. 10mm worked for me. Quick fix < 1 min with a drill plus small file. ... show more

I bought this with the Unger Professional Microfiber Window Combi: 2-in-1 Professional Squeegee and Window Scrubber, 14" to wash my home's windows. It worked great. Fully extended I was able to reach a window from the ground that would have been a challenge to reach with a ladder. Granted, it was not as easy as washing windows closer to the ground, but it was a skylight I could barely see out of due to the pollen, so I was just happy it reached. I have a 2 story geodesic dome on a hill, so I have been worried about the prospect of cleaning the windows. This made it easy. ... show more

Like all Unger products this one is a winner. The sections lock well when extended which is almost unique to Unger products. The description is somewhat unclear because this is a SIX FOOT three section telescoping pole. So the usable length is actually 6ft - 16ft and NOT 8ft - 16ft as described above. Please note that the unit at the end of the pole where you attach your accessories is NOT removable as it is on the green Unger poles. It supports Unger click lock and ACE thread, but not bi-pin devices that can attach to the green poles. But it is very well made and well designed as are all other Unger products that I have encountered. ... show more

Kind of flimsy when it's fully extended, but it works perfectly for me. I needed to dust off areas 20-25 ft in the air and I don't have a lot of good ways to do that. This worked well with an attachment on it. Just be careful with it because you can easily damage things around you if you have it extended and you aren't careful where you're swinging it.
